Keller Williams Event Raises $10K For Dallas Agent Rob Elmore

Rob Elmore

Update 4:06 p.m. From Tony Caliendo — Your timing is perfect on this post Candy! Rob just received a phone call from KW Cares at our International Office and they have informed him they will pay the remainder of his medical bills for this surgery.

Despite what some people may think, Dallas real estate agents are the giving sort. There’s no other group of people who can rally the troops to buy tickets, spend money, and fill up a room for a good cause.

So it’s no big shocker that, as Keller Williams Uptown agent Taylor Walick explains, the KW Cares charity was able to raise $10,000 — exceeding their $4,000 goal — to help with beloved Keller Williams agent Rob Elmore’s medical bills.

The “Night in Vegas” benefit at the Plaza at Turtle Creek Conservatory, which included nibbles from Blue Mesa, vino from Times Ten Cellars, and art  and handmade jewelry from local artisans, featured casino gaming and photo booths. Some of the snaps from the evening are too cute!

About KW Cares:

KW Cares is a 501(c) (3) public charity created to support Keller Williams Realty associates and their immediate families with hardship as a result of a sudden emergency. (KWCares.org).  During Hurricane Katrina we raised more money for the victims in New Orleans than the National Association of Realtors!  It is a great organization that also supports Ryan’s Well Foundation, Homes for our Troops, and the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center.

Joanna England is the Executive Editor at CandysDirt.com and covers the North Texas housing market.

As the Team Leader of KW Urban Dallas, I must say I am so proud of the agents that made this happen. Our local KW Cares Urban Dallas committee (Michael Johnson, Taylor Walcik, Lacey Brutschy, Mia Vincent and Ron Untener) did an outstanding job with this event!

It's incredible to see our companies values and culture in action. Proud to be part of the KW family! It's an awesome feeling to be able to take care of our agents in need!

It was a lot of fun. Wish I could gamble that well with real money! Very happy to hear the goal was not only met, but exceeded!

Jo, we actually do offer insurance for our agents. We are one of the few Real Estate Companies that provide insurance options for our agents.

Agents are independent contractors and typically have to seek insurance on their own. We give them some options by being an agent here!
