Wade PhillipsAfter listing his house in 2011 and again in 2014, and again in 2018, former Dallas Cowboy’s head coach Wade Phillips is ready to be a landlord, again.

Phillips’ first listed his Preston Hollow home at 6115 Norway Road after he departed Dallas for Houston in 2011 (he’s now the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams). Built in the Hill Country style by Ryan Osborne, Phillips and his family were the first occupants of the home when they purchased it for $2.75 million in 2007.

Allie Beth Allman has been his Realtor of choice throughout – even for the purchase of the home. The property was listed for $3,295,000 in 2011, and then for $2.95 million in 2014. It was leased for $15,000 in 2015, according to MLS records, and then was placed back on the market in January 2018 for $2.95 million before having a price reduction in October 2018 for $2.85 million, and then one more about a week ago to $2.75 million.

The home is for lease once again for $15,000 a month, and is still for sale as well.

Back in 2011, Candy broke the news that the home had been listed, and described some of the home’s features. (more…)

Hopefully, he’s not going anywhere, maybe just closer to Cowboys Stadium? Jason Garrett just put his gorgeous Highland Park home on the market late Friday with none other than broker to the rich and famous Allie Beth Allman listing it. Asking: $1,950,000. The Ivy Leaguer (Princeton, Columbia) just got named head Cowboys coach January 6, the 8th head hocho in Cowboys history.

The traditional home is on Lindenwood, east of Byron, on a 50 by 150 lot so typical of the choice Highland Park area. It’s more than 4,000 square feet and offers the lucky buyer four bedrooms, four and a half baths, three stories, and pool. (If those walls could talk…) New-ish construction, too: the home was built in 1999 and likely updated.

On November 8, 2010, Garrett was named as the Dallas Cowboys’ interim head coach following the firing of Wade Phillips.¬†On November 14, 2010, Garrett won his first game as Cowboys head coach, beating the favored New York Giants 33-20 in the Meadowlands. Then he led the Cowboys to a 35-19 victory, their first home win all season.

Allie Beth is also listing the Wade Phillips home over on Norway abutting St. Mark’s, listed for over three million. Thank God for these coaching revolutions — keeps our market and Allie Beth hopping! Garrett bought Lindenwood in April of 2007, gosh four years ago, and paid about $1.9.

I ran and snapped a quick pic of the Phillips house tonight — not too icy — but I will try to get a better one when the weather clears. Beautiful multi-color stone home, built by Ryan Osborne. And as usual, I stand corrected. (If I had a dollar…) The Phillips bought the home from Osborne so they are the first family to live in the house. It has a kind of U-shape, the garage on the left, and that structure on the right is actually a guest house. No kidding. When they bought the house, they had the builder put the guest house out front at their request, and despite a few objections from the neighborhood. (Neighborhoods!) Why did they want the guest house here?¬† It was where Phillips mother-in-law was going to live. (What a great son-in-law to go to all that trouble.) Anyhow, she ended up not liking it after all, and moved to a nearby retirement home instead. But you know what, I think it makes guests feel extra special to have the guest house in the front, not back, of the property.

What do you think?

News flash: Wade and Laurie Phillips just listed their Preston Hollow home on Norway with Allie Beth Allman. Wade, son of former NFL coach Bum Phillips, is off to Houston. He bought the house in 2007 for about $2,800,000 — Allie Beth was their agent, then, too. Asking: $3,295,000. No pics in MLS just yet, but the house is gorgeous and so walkable to St. Marks School of Texas. 8173 square feet on almost a one-half acre of land, the home was built in 2006 and I think — don’t quote me — the Phillips are the second owners. In any case, it comes fully decked and dressed to be a gorgeous family home with plenty of great space for entertaining — wet bar, wine storage, game room, covered back porch. Stay tuned for more deets.
