This is a really cute house. Three bedrooms, two baths, 2100 square feet plus. Built in 1983, it was completely renovated in 2007, yielding trowel-textured walls and hand-scraped wood floors; fine designer finishes and Prairie Creek Elementary ye haw! The owners also really went all out for space age type appliances. There is an Advantium Speedcook (makes best frittatas ever) , granite counter(s) (let’s come back to those), stainless appliances, and, in the master bath, a computerized luxury spa complete with steam, sprays, whirlpool, and even a built-in entertainment system.
Oh, it’s not just a steam shower, it is an ozone sterilization system.
Actually, it looks rather scary. According to the website, that space-ship like deal is a MyBath.biz steam shower bath. “Ozone Sterilization Systems” are available in many of the MyBath.biz units. The ozone sterilization can keep your Steam Shower Units, Steam Shower Baths, and Hot Tubs clean. I guess if you get in there, it will keep you germ-free, too, maybe even undo the effects of too much alcohol:
“Often bacteria, viruses, and germs breed in humid environments making Ozone Sterilization Systems a smart feature to have in your Steam Shower Units, Steam Shower Baths, and Hot Tubs.”
I’d like one all over my HOUSE! Besides sterilizing you and the unit, these things have purported extra health benefits like arthritis relief, back relief, decreased congestion (no kidding), decreased inflammation (how this happens I do not know, especially in a hot steam environ), decreased pain, improved joint flexibility (oh yeah), improved muscle tone, improved skin, improved sleep, increased blood circulation, increased mobility, muscle relaxation, overall relaxation, relieved fatigue, and strengthened immune system.
Maybe you even get a break on Obamacare if you own one!
Other perks in this $329,000 house. What, yes, it’s $329,000 and no, I am not lying. I know, that fancy bath unit was probably half the cost of half the house. It’s really cute, and I love the exposed brick wall in the family room. You get la la la formals, three bedrooms, two baths, 2100 plus square feet on .35 of an acre. (Did I already say that? Obvi I need a session or two in this steam unit, maybe it cures Alzheimers?) The only thing that bugs me is, did someone forget to finish the kitchen? It’s like it was added as an afterthought. There is just that one counter on the wall, then there is a table at an angle in matching marble. I’ve seen more counter space in apartments. Does the table come with the house? All sorts of questions here.
But then, I sure haven’t seen an out-of-sight steam shower unit that sterilizes me in an apartment. No siree, that is one hot mess product I don’t think you’ll find, well, anywhere except, maybe, Alaska!
