This week’s Suburb Sunday sends us to Southlake for three selections of simply gorgeous homes. (I just couldn’t resist the lovely alliteration.) One is transitional, another is modern, and the third is a geodome you have to see to believe. Which do you prefer? (Pick the dome!)

Modern Style in the Carillon Community

Roxann Taylor of Engel & Voelkers Dallas Southlake has the listing for this modern custom home in the gated Carillon community that’s priced below appraisal. Beautiful stone and river rock line the pathway up to this zero lot stucco home. The kitchen with gorgeous floor to ceiling custom cabinets features a 14-foot waterfall island, farm sink, and stainless steel appliances including commercial grade range and vent, gas cooktop, oven, built-in microwave, and built-in refrigerator/freezer. Those same gorgeous cabinets are in the home office as well. Annual homeowners association fees of $2,300 cover front yard maintenance, common area maintenance, and full use of facilities including a community pool, catch-release pond, basketball, and walking trails. You don’t typically think of bargain-priced properties when it comes to Westlake. Known as one of the most affluent suburbs in the Metroplex and home to celebrities and athletes alike, Westlake doesn’t have any homes priced under $1 million. At least not on the market right now. However, these three outstanding estates are great value for the purchase price, whether they’re priced below market value or they’ve been reduced several hundred thousand dollars. They’re not in everybody’s price range, but they’re three great homes to dream about for this Suburb Sunday.
