Nothing says home quite like a classic, all-American, Cape Cod cottage.

It’s during this time period when architects began to take a bit of license with the look, increasing the size, adding a full second story, and using stone as an embellishment, which made them even more appealing. Cape Cod CottageOur Saturday Six Hundred is a Cape Cod cottage at 2030 Mayflower Drive in Stevens Park Estates that is absolutely charming.

This is one of the most established and desirable neighborhoods in Oak Cliff with about 200 homes — most built in the 1920s and 1930s. Enormous oak and elm trees shade every street, and the neighborhood is bounded by Stevens Park Golf Course. It’s peaceful and quiet, and it’s hard to believe you can be in the center of downtown Dallas in mere minutes. It also boasts some unique features. For instance, when the development was conceived in 1926, play parks were designed at the end of each block so children could play safely. That same thoughtfulness continues today with a dedicated neighborhood association that hosts gatherings throughout the year.

This is a terrific place to live and Melissa O’Brien with the Bleeker O’Brien Group at Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate has the perfect home for you.
