Castle Hills

Castle Hills is an award-winning, master-planned community in Lewisville, a suburb about 25 miles north of downtown Dallas, off State Highway 121.

Since the first homeowners moved into the Bright Realty development in 1998, more than 12,000 people have decided to call it home. Houses range from about $300,000 to $1.5 million and more, and the community is about 60 percent residential with ongoing development, like luxury apartments and mixed-use spaces.

The Bright family acquired the 2,600 acres that makeup Castle Hills in 1952, and their children learned to hunt, fish, camp, and search for fossils on the land. The natural beauty of the area is a defining feature of Castle Hills, with 24 parks, green spaces, hike-and-bike trails, several lakes, and thousands of shade trees planted throughout. Catch-and-release fishing is allowed in the 12-acre park and lake area, and the community has beautiful landscaping and streetscapes, quaint bridges, and other relaxing spaces.

Castle Hills fosters a sense of community with events like an annual Easter egg hunt, July 4th Freedom Festival with parade and fireworks, Fall Festival with pumpkin patch, and the Holiday in the Plaza annual tree lighting. They even welcome residents to their newly constructed homes with a free, catered meal.

But this is not just a place to live. An interactive fountain and outdoor entertainment plaza anchor Castle Hills Village Shops & Plaza, which offers dining, retail, and entertainment options, like free monthly outdoor movie screenings, family game nights, live music, variety shows, and educational presentations.

Future developments will bring even more options to Castle Hills. The Realm at Castle Hills will be a 324-acre mixed-use development where residents can live, play, dine, shop, and work. At buildout, it will include 546 apartments, around 269,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, 300,000 square feet of office space, and a 100-room boutique hotel.

Castle Hills’ location on SH 121 creates easy access to nearby cities Plano, Frisco, Allen, and McKinney to the east and Carrollton, Irving, and Valley Ranch to the west. DFW International Airport is about a 15-minute drive to the southwest, and many major employers are close as well, including Toyota's North American headquarters, Frito-Lay, Pepsi-Co, Computer Associates, McAfee, AT&T, Bank of America, Ericsson, and Fujitsu.
