One of the coveted neighborhoods in Lake Highlands Estates is the L Streets. Our Thursday Three Hundred at 8932 Lockhaven Dr. is in this prime area, built in 1954 and in pristine condition.

Sitting on a corner lot with a circular drive, this curb appeal cutie looks marvelous with its curb appeal — mature pecan trees really seal the deal. Inside, it’s updates galore, creating a modern look with lots of buyer “wants.”

This home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,401 square feet on one story. Let’s take a look!

The Lake Highlands Estates Neighborhood Association is bordered by Ferndale Road, New Church Road, and I-635 to the north, Plano Road to the east, Walnut Hill Lane to the south, and Audelia Road to the west. The area has almost 1,500 homes within its boundaries.

Inside this Lake Highlands Estates home, there’s a contemporary and on-trend color palette: think grays and whites. Hardwood floors flow throughout, except in bathrooms, and add a classic feel. In the front of the house, a living and dining area are stages for maximum appeal, accentuated by large windows that make the areas light and bright.

The owners gutted the kitchen less than two years ago, adding new white cabinets, granite countertops, an arabesque white tile backsplash, new lights, and stainless steel appliances, including a gas range. Really appealing!

Spacious bedrooms with original hardwoods and vintage-tile bathrooms add to the charmed look of this house.

Just outside the kitchen is a covered patio, open patio with deck, privacy wood fence, and lots of grassy green space with mature trees. It’s big enough to add a pool, should the future owner want one.

This Lake Highlands Estates home was listed April 26 by Wendy Lucas with Nathan Grace Real Estate for $359,900.

You are correct, this home is in the L-Streets. However, your location and neighborhood association is incorrect. This home is part of the L Streets Neighborhood Association which is bounded by Walnut Hill to the north, Plano Road to the east, Northwest Highway to the south, and Ferndale to the west. I think the subdivision confused you. While the subdivision is Lake Highlands Estates it is NOT part of the Lake Highlands Estates Neighborhood Association. In fact, the house sits south of Walnut Hill, squarely in the L Streets Neighborhood Association. As we say, location, location, location, so wanted this to be accurate.

Boy, the only thing I saw that I would have changed in staging is the tv. It just doesn’t make sense to have tv viewing clustered at the front door. this is always a challenge with renovated older homes that don’t have separate family room….I’m sure they did they best they could.
Very cute home otherwise. Beautiful floors….
