These Bryan Place Townhomes Deserve a Double-Take

Homebuyers will do a double-take when they realize two of these units are actually being marketed as a single property.

Here is the scoop on a rare real estate opportunity that’ll have buyers doing a double-take. News of side-by-side townhomes hitting the market simultaneously is a lot like an architectural double play… twice as exciting as a single.

But that’s the story behind 1429 Caddo St. Units F and G in Dallas’ hip, urban Bryan Place. Yes, it’s a two-unit deal that’s too special to ignore.

“They’re both really cool places,” said Kristin Barnett, a Realtor with League Real Estate.

Doorway Connection

Both units are currently owned by the same couple, who actually became double owners one purchase at a time. They first bought Unit G in 2017 after reading about it in CandysDirt.com. Then, when their next-door neighbor was selling their townhome, the couple jumped at the chance to own both.

They doubled their pleasure, their fun, and their living space by connecting the two.

“When they bought the second unit, they added a doorway,” Barnett said. “So basically, from the first floor, they can walk through the office of one unit into the bedroom space of the other unit.”

The couple had a vision for the two properties and went so far as to create plans to combine the units on three levels.

“They had an architect to draw up plans for one cohesive townhouse unit,” the Realtor said. The plans exist, but for now, the two are being sold as a single property.

The two Bryan Place townhomes share the same contemporary industrial vibes with high vaulted ceilings and metal siding. But inside, they split into distinctly different looks… like fraternal twins. Unit G, an end unit, leans eclectic with extra windows and rustic-looking pine floors across its 1,808 square feet. Unit F goes sleeker within its 1,974 square feet, with white oak flooring and a unique, hand-blown glass chandelier.

Outside, the two patios now flow together as one urban retreat, ready for a small gathering. The cantilevered second floor overhead creates an architectural canopy of shade for the shared space.

Same Address

Besides the twofer opportunity, buying at this Dallas address comes with a bonus. Not only is the architecture sleek and contemporary, but the location makes it twice as cool. Tucked into Old East Dallas near Live Oak Street and North Haskell Avenue, the neighborhood is an urban community with a double dose of convenience. It’s minutes from downtown, the Arts District, Deep Ellum, and Baylor Medical Center. Just around the corner from these paired townhomes sits Exall Park, a 10-acre park developed in 2014 but with a new recreation center on the way.

These two townhomes offer space, convenience, and a contemporary look. Anyone who wants to see the possibilities is invited to the open house from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 12.

“This is something you can never find around downtown Dallas,” Barnett said. “To find more than 3,800 square feet with four-car garage spaces in this area of Dallas is unheard of.”

Kristin Barnett with League Real Estate has these two townhomes at 1429 Caddo St. in Dallas listed for $1.099 million.
