Father’s Day: The House That Paul Moss Built
Share News:

Most builders spend their careers creating homes for other families.
Paul Moss built one of his own.
For the Moss family, the line between work and home has always been a little blurry. Dinner conversations drift from floor plans to grandchildren and back again. Somewhere along the way, what began as a homebuilding company became something much rarer: a shared calling spanning three generations.
Every branch of the Moss family tree has a role in the business, Beckett Graham Luxury Homes. Paul and son Kyle build, wife Donna designs, daughter Ashley sells homes, and daughter Tiffany keeps everything running behind the scenes.
The surprising part? None of it was planned.
“We never pushed our children into the business,” Paul said. “They grew up around it and saw firsthand the impact of creating homes and communities.”
In the Moss household, construction wasn’t simply the family business. “It was something we lived,” said Kyle.
Eventually, each carved out their own place in the industry.
Perhaps no chapter better captures the Moss family’s story than what happened during the pandemic. Expecting their first child, Kyle and his wife, Katie, moved in with Paul and Donna.
“Three generations under the same roof reminded us what mattered most — we weren’t just building homes, we were building family,” says Donna.
When grandson Beckett arrived, his name became part of Beckett Graham Luxury Homes.
“Now we have to figure out how to get the other seven grandkids a name in our business,” Donna laughed.
For Kyle, the experience of working with his father has been an education in far more than construction.
“It’s like having a master class every day,” he said. “Instead of giving you the answer, he’ll teach you how to find it yourself.”
Among those lessons: the importance of giving back.
This past spring, the family’s commitment to community was on display at the St. Jude Dream Home Showplace in Southlake. Five builders came together to raise more than $1 million for the children’s research hospital.
Before the walls went up, every member of the Moss family signed the studs, knowing the signatures would eventually disappear from view, even if what they represented never would.
“Buildings and projects come and go,” Paul said. “Watching your children carry the torch—that’s the greatest reward of all.”
