When an Inspector Falls Off a Roof: Wishing Brian Lindley a Speedy Recovery

Share News:

Every year, I usually write a Thanksgiving column about something I’m thankful for, or, more specifically, since this is a column about home inspections, something I’m thankful is not happening to my home. However, something happened just this week to the family at Green Scene Home Inspections that gave us all pause and made us genuinely thankful.

One of our guys, Brian Lindley, lead Inspector and manager, was doing a roof inspection on a two-story house. He slipped and fell from the roof, breaking his fibula, spraining both ankles, and sustaining several other minor injuries.

Considering that he fell into some bushes, on either side of which were the air conditioning compressor and some concrete stairs, he was incredibly lucky, as his injuries could have been much more serious. Brian is okay, but he will be out of commission for some time. These inspectors take risks every day in the field, and it’s a hard thing for us all to deal with. It’s also a bitter reminder to take all safety precautions possible.

That being said, I thought the best way to use this space this week would be to highlight some of Inspector Brian’s best work because we are so thankful for Brian, his hard work and dedication, his knowledge and passion, and always his sense of humor. Enjoy!
