When nearly 1,000 agents from Ebby Halliday Realtors, Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate, and Williams Trew gathered beneath the Moody Foundation Chandelier, which had its 318 acrylic rods illuminated in red, white, and blue (the colors of the three EHC brands), at the Winspear Opera House, you just knew it was going to be a big day. The second-annual Ebby Halliday Companies Summit didn’t just meet expectations — it shook the room.

And we mean that literally.

The morning kicked off with a surprise entrance from the J.J. Pearce High School drumline. And they didn’t just march onstage — they stormed the aisles of the Winspear, pounding out rhythms that had agents clapping, cheering, and leaning in. Then, Betsy Cameron, president of Ebby Halliday Companies, welcomed the crowd and set the tone for the event: this was going to be a day of ideas, connection, and yes, a little fun.

First up was Dr. Daniel Oney of the Texas Real Estate Research Center with a data-packed look at housing markets heading into 2026. Big takeaways? Expect shifting affordability, continued inventory challenges, and opportunities for savvy buyers and sellers.

Then came a star-studded panel moderated by Malinda Howell, SVP of Brokerage at Ebby Halliday Companies. Panelists included Anna Kahn (Brown Harris Stevens, New York City, NY), Marsha Kotlyar (Marsha Kotlyar Estate Group at BHHS California Properties, Montecito, CA), and Molly Griffin (Beaver Creek Highlands Team at Slifer Smith & Frampton, Vail, CO). The trio swapped stories about influence, client care, and keeping their cool in some of the country’s most-competitive luxury markets.

Between sessions, agents mingled at a bustling vendor fair where they swapped cards, sipped coffee, and connected with colleagues from across EHC’s vast North and East Texas footprint. That networking alone is a game-changer for buyers and sellers — one more reason the EHC network is a force.

The finale? It was one for the books. Emmy Award-winning speaker, author, and drummer Clint Pulver took the stage with a message about authentic leadership and human connection — a theme that struck home as EHC celebrates its 80th anniversary this year.

Then came the twist: two dozen volunteers appeared out of nowhere, handing every single person a pair of personalized drumsticks engraved with the Summit logo. Lights flashed, fog machines kicked in, and suddenly 1,000 agents were pounding in unison with Pulver’s drum solo. Think rock concert meets real estate conference.

The Summit ended as it began: loud, joyful, and unforgettable. And if there’s one thing Ebby Halliday Companies made clear, it’s this: after 80 years, they still know how to lead with heart, keep things fresh, and yes, bring the beat.
