With summer in the rearview mirror and fall less than a week away, most of us have settled back into our regular routines. Not so for the 25 designers selected to participate in this year’s much-anticipated Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas. From now until the Oct. 25 opening, members of this mega-talented group are going to be in overdrive.
Just ask Javier Burkle, principal of his eponymous firm and a 2024 alumni chair. His supremely chic closet and dressing room was a standout in the ’21 Dallas Show House.
“It pushed me to a new level of creativity which opened the door to amazing new client projects,” Burkle said.

Being selected for a second time is a great honor, the designer explained.
“I wanted to challenge myself again with a completely different space and design while, in turn, continue to build meaningful relationships,” he said. “With the Kips Bay Decorator Show House, I get to be the client. My team and I have so much fun building a dream space that reflects Burkle Creative.”
Adding the challenge of a Show House room is a ‘balancing act.’
According to Daniel Quintero, executive director of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, designers are hand-selected for their distinctive flair and creativity.
“We look forward to unveiling their creations at this year’s iconic Dallas location,” he said.

Along with Burkle Creative, an additional 12 DFW-based companies are among the design groups tapped to transform the 2.3-acre estate at 2999 Turtle Creek Boulevard: Champagne Designs, Martha Champagne, Carrollton; Ink + Oro Creatives, Tiffany Woodson, Dallas; Jan Showers & Associates, Dallas; Lambert Landscape, Paul Fields, Dallas; Lisa Henderson Interiors, Dallas; Maestri Studio, Eddie Maestri, Dallas; Muse Noire Interiors, Ashley Ross, Dallas; Shelby Wagner Design, Dallas; Sherry Hayslip Interiors, Dallas; Swoon the Studio, Samantha Sano, Joslyn Taylor, Dallas; Traci Connell Interiors, Dallas; and Trish Sheats Interior Design, Fort Worth.
Designers Chad Dorsey and Jean Liu will once again chair the Dallas Show House, with Laura Lee Falconer and Trish Sheats serving as vice chairs, and Burkle, Mike Yates, and Bryan Yates as alumni chairs.

For Kips Bay participants, the networking, partnerships, and bonds formed are invaluable, said Burkle.
‘As a returning designer, I would be remiss not to mention the biggest benefit is being able to support our local community.’
The Show House benefits the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, which provides young people with educational and developmental programs in New York City, as well as local nonprofits Dwell with Dignity and The Crystal Charity Ball.
