Come Home To A Big Ol’ Master Bath at 3809 Straw Harvest

Tucked away up north, there’s an updated 1981 home located within walking distance to Saigling Elementary and Cheyenne Park in Plano. We know the neighborhood and it’s one of our favorites. It’s walkable and there’s even a cool coffeeshop – Mudleaf – nearby.

The house is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom spread with over 2,260 square feet. It has a perfect little pool that gets lots of shade to keep it cooler in the heat of summer. There’s a patio, a firepit that stays and a dog run.

Inside it’s been updated from top to bottom and it’s all modern.

The front door is your first taste of how to transform a house and once you’re inside, you’ll fall for that kitchen, the skylight, and that big ol’ master bath.

Fresh carpet in the bedroom and say what you will, but with carpet you can sit on the floor all day and your buttbones won’t hurt. We’ve also heard from remodelers that they go with carpet because it’s the easiest for the new owners to swap out if they’re not feeling it. And by it we mean that plush pile on your rear end.

The board-on-board fence looks new and sometimes it just boggles our mind how far your dollar can go in the suburbs.

Another thing you’ll see outside this house? A wrought iron bench in the front yard. Hold tight, we’re about to climb on a soapbox.

WHY? Why the bench in the front yard? Who is sitting out there waving to neighbors? No one. It’s just something we’ve personally never understood, but there’s also a windsock in these photos so let the shoulder-shrugging begin.

The kitchen looks new and slick and those appear to be original cabinets with a fresh coat of paint and updated hardware. We’re all for it. Solid wood cabinets aren’t something to toss and a fresh coat of oil-based enamel while horrifically stinky as it goes on is really a wonderful way to breathe new life into your space.

The living area is spacious and the track lighting blends into the ceiling so we dig it. They added a new roughhewn mantle to the living room fireplace and there’s a second fireplace in the master, too. COZY. That fireplace goes through to the Master Bath and it’s palatial, people. Like it is HUGE. There’s a gorgeous new bathtub, frameless shower, and decorative mirrors.
