Stainback Construction Is Elevating New Construction in the Park Cities

If you want walking into your home to feel like walking into a luxury vacation resort, we’ve got the property for you. It’s new construction from Ford Stainback of Stainback Construction, and it’s gorgeous. Stainback is a third-generation real estate developer with a next-level commitment to quality, and it shows in every step you take in this home.
Stainback has been a prominent figure in Lakewood’s real estate scene for the past five years. This is his first venture into single-family residential construction in the Highland Park School district, but his experience in the Park Cities real estate market is extensive. He has built close to 45 luxury townhomes in the Park Cities over the past few years.

“I see a lot of good construction that is traditional with nice clean lines here, but I have not seen a good mix of traditional and modern together on a spec home,” Stainback said. “As far as things brought to market, you can essentially close your eyes and know what you are getting. I want to bring to the Park Cities what I’ve been offering in Lakewood. We’ve had multiple people tell us they have not seen what we are building in the Park Cities, and the feedback has been great.”
You may think you’ve seen luxury home building before, but as I said, Stainback always looks for features that bring luxury home building to a new level. One of those elements is the Brilliant Smart Home System he installed. You’re probably familiar with systems like the 21-year-old Control4, which is essentially the granddaddy of smart home management. While it’s still terrific, you can’t control it from a beach house or a ski resort. “Brilliant is a more modern level of smart technology,” Stainback said. “You can control it from your phone, remotely, from anywhere.”
You can set it, and once you’ve dialed it into your habits, you never have to touch it again. It will even control the automatic blinds to close when the sun sets and open when you want them to in this home. The thermostat comes on automatically, the Sonos sound system has your playlist ready, and the lights go on when you walk in. The house functions independently, and you don’t have to worry about it. You’re getting beauty with brains in a Stainback home!

Let’s dig into the beauty side of this 6,309 square foot, five-bedroom, five-and-a-half bathroom luxury home. Stainback partnered with a cabinet company based in Mexico that works with luxury resorts, including The Ritz-Carlton and The Four Seasons.
“They make the best cabinets you will ever see,” he said. “The drawers are constructed with organizational inserts in place. I’m a cabinet snob, so I wanted to ensure our cabinetry was dialed in to as close to perfection as you can get.”

Stainback is particular about his coffee makers as well. Sure, he has the highest-end SubZero and Wolf appliance package, but when it comes to coffee, it’s Miele all the way.
“They are the best,” Stainback said. “Miele has the only coffee machine that is plumbed into the wall. You never have to fill the tank.” There are also three compartments for coffee, so you have options if one family member prefers dark roast, another wants light roast, and a third is devoted to decaf.

One of the other features Stainback is excited about is the steel doors. While you may think you’ve seen doors like these before, you have to take a closer look. These slide completely flush into the wall. When they are open, you don’t see them at all, and suddenly you’re at the pool. “You see this in California, and it’s slowly coming our way because when you open the doors, you get the feeling of a luxurious resort vacation,” Stainback said.
And isn’t that how we’d all really like to live?
