Dave Perry-Miller Official Realtor Partner of the Dallas Stars
Mike Baldwin and Ryan Streiff of Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate headline a new high-profile partnership

Best Sports Business City in the U.S. + Mike Baldwin = New Sports Division at Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate

They have been doing it for quite some time now: selling juicy Dallas real estate to Dallas sports figures, including homes of Dallas Stars players. There was 6730 Desco Drive, Ryan Suter’s family house, and there was the beautiful home they sold for Joe Pavelski last April. You didn’t read about the latter because it was an off-market listing — homes not listed in the MLS but traded through word of mouth and Rolodex contacts of the agents involved.

Those agents happened to be Ryan Streiff, Jamie Kohlmann, and the new guy on the team, Mike Baldwin.

Baldwin, also lovingly referred to as “Baldy,” has joined the Perry-Miller Streiff Group to help drive the ball (puck?) forward with a focus on both luxury and off-market real estate opportunities. Brokers with the city’s top-tier firms tell me off-market sales account for at least 30 percent of the market, if not more. And this team has had 48 percent of their sold volume trade off-market in 2024.

“I thrive on the opportunity to work closely with this team of experts, and they are experts, to continue to exceed every clients’ expectations,” Baldwin said. “This is the team Dave Perry-Miller himself hand-picked, and I’m beyond grateful to become a valuable team player. I’ll bring the relationships and contacts to the table with the very best real estate team in town behind me.”

Mike got his real estate license less than six months ago.

Golf Pro to the Pros

Baldwin knows all about being a great team player. After playing college golf at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he studied legal studies and political science, he settled in the Chicago area and got into the sports coaching business, running a profitable golf coaching platform for high-level juniors and PGA tour players. There he honed his skills in communication and client satisfaction, most of which came naturally to the Chicagoan.

In 2015, Baldwin, a seventh-generation Mauian (check out his license plate) moved to Dallas where he has spent the last eight years developing a strong sphere of influence. That sphere includes a whole lot of pro sports players, from golf to hockey, basketball to football.

His prowess in networking naturally led him to the real estate sector, where he thrives. He honed in on the sports figures by recognizing housing needs within his sphere. As he delved deeper into the profession, his competitive spirit found a new avenue in the city named last year as the number one sports business city in America.

With that, he’s helped lead the charge as the Perry-Miller Streiff Group’s Director of Sports and Entertainment. And as of today, the team is now an Official Realtor Partner of the Dallas Stars.

“My professional goal is to continuously learn and evolve with the ever-changing market, with the mission of maintaining the highest level of service, expertise, and client satisfaction,” Baldwin said.

Baldwin also credits his mentor, top producer Ryan Streiff, with helping shape his real estate career.

“Ryan’s reputation for diligence and his strong work ethic, plus his collaborative strategies that get even the most difficult contracts to the finish line, all those were like my personal guidebook to success,” Baldwin said.

Baldwin’s top hobby continues to be golf, where he competes in club events as a scratch golfer. He can also often be found with his wife and two sons relaxing at the lake or attending hockey games. Looks like he will be attending a lot more now, with clients. Having lived in and moved around to various parts of the country, Baldwin is uniquely positioned to understand the needs and concerns of those relocating or coming in new to the Dallas area.

“Mike has passion built into his DNA, the ingredient so many teams seek in an agent when expanding a team,” Streiff said. “His strong sports connections definitely got our team into this real estate alignment with the Stars.”

Streiff says more exciting news is coming down the pike as DPM builds up the new Sports and Entertainment Division. Stay tuned!
