Hold my sparkler.

In case anyone’s searching for a way to mark America’s 248 years of independence, there’s a lot of celebrating to look forward to in Tarrant County. And for those who really want to celebrate, there’s no reason to limit it to just July 4.

June 29

Light Up Arlington

The Light Up Arlington fireworks display will include vendors, food trucks, a bubble bus, face painting and four stages of musical performances.

When: 6 to 10:30 p.m., with fireworks starting at 9:50 p.m.

Where: Areas surrounding Arlington City Hall and George W. Hawkes Downtown Library, 100 S. Center St., Arlington.

July 3

Fireworks Frenzy After Hours Event

Hawaiian Falls Mansfield will host a Fireworks Frenzy After Hours Event where guests can enjoy the water park’s rides and attractions during the day and stay for fireworks at night.

When: 5 to 9 p.m. July 3.

Where: Hawaiian Falls Mansfield, 490 Heritage Parkway, Mansfield.

Cost: Tickets must be purchased by Sunday and are $39.99 for general admission and $9.99 for season pass holders.

Stars & Stripes

Food, activities, and fireworks are planned for Southlake’s Stars & Stripes family event. The day is filled with festival foods, engaging activities, and a fireworks display tailored to families and children.

When: 5 to 11 p.m.

Where: Southlake Town Square, 1400 E. Southlake Blvd., Southlake.

Family Fourth Celebration & Fireworks Show

Bounce houses, food trucks, performances, a corndog-eating contest, a veterans salute, and fireworks are planned for the Family 4th (on the 3rd) Celebration and Fireworks Show in North Richland Hills.

When: 5 to 10 p.m., with fireworks from 9:30 to 10 p.m. 

Where: Birdville ISD Plaza, 6531 Boulevard 26, North Richland Hills.

Cost: Free admission and parking, with bounce house wristbands costing $5.

July 4

Arlington Independence Day Parade

Think the theme “Home Run for Heroes” is a tip of the ball cap to the World Series-winning Texas Rangers? The annual Arlington Independence Day Parade will bring floats, antique cars, and bands. The Firecracker 5K will precede the parade.

When: Firecracker 5K begins at 7 a.m., followed by the parade at 9 a.m.

Where: Firecracker 5K starts at Levitt Pavilion, 100 W. Abram St., Arlington. The parade starts at the intersection of West and Mitchell streets.

Cost: The 5K costs $25 for registration before Sunday and $30 for registration Monday through Wednesday. The parade is free.

Bedford 4thFest

Fireworks, children’s activities, and live music from The Inspiration Band will be part of Bedford’s 4thFest. Lawn chairs, blankets, coolers, and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome.

Bedford Fourth Fest

When: 5 to 10 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. 

Where: Generations Park at Boys Ranch, 2801 Forest Ridge Drive, Bedford.

Red, White & You!

Richland Hills will begin Independence Day with a patriotic parade, followed by free rides, activities, and crafts. The Inspiration Band will perform, and bringing blankets and lawn chairs is encouraged.

When: 8:30 to 11 a.m.

Where: The Link Plaza, 6750 Baker Blvd., Richland Hills
