No Love Lost For This Art Deco-Esque Missouri Home That Got Me Shook
Share News:
So, the house featured in this week’s column got me, to quote today’s youth, shook. I believe that is correct usage. That house got me shook.
I love the way the younger generation uses particular words to get across just how nuts things can make them. This house has me in that category along with GenZ because baby, I am shook.
It is not because the house is so awful. It is just the little things that start the ground trembling. Take, for instance, the photos with the listing. There are 61 of them. Almost half are aerial shots like the one above or of the exterior of the house. Look at that picture. How in the name of everything good and holy are you supposed to know which house is the house?
When I first saw this home, I loved it. It is different in an Art Deco-esque sort of way. But then I noticed the handrail cutting down the front steps and now I can not stop looking at it.
Anyway, this three-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath home is located at 3232 Windsor Avenue South, Kansas City, Missouri. The owners are asking $500,000.
I love hardwood flooring and the mirror above the fireplace is wonderful. All that combined with wood trim and the wallpaper make the living room cozy. But wait, what was that I happened to notice in one of the pictures?
One of the previous owners took out the library to build this ship. Ya got that? They eliminated the library for this.
The dining room area is just lovely. Again, I love the hardwoods. Now let us go downstairs.
Yeah, you will want to watch those last steps and not smash into the sink. But wait…
This bathroom got me even more shook. I do not want to see who is on the second floor while I am partaking in my morning constitutional. I am simply not that curious.
The pool table, bar, and basement area seem fun.
And then there is the pool.
I gotta say, I feel every ounce of that GIF. It is sound, sound advice. The pool got me so shook you can pour me into a glass and call me a Daiquiri.

Laughed so hard, I’m SHAKING!
I’m so glad you got a good laugh. Thanks for the read. Have a great weekend.
This has got to take the cake. A pea-green hospital green home made swimming pool in a basement. YES!
So when if your pea-green basement pool going in Candy? ha ha Thanks for the read.
Candy, the home made basement swimming pool appears to be algae-green on my screen!
Thanks for the read Rabbi. When Candy puts her pool in we’ll have to go see what color she went with. ha ha Have a great weekend.
Dearest Mrs. Perez,
Once again, you dazzle me with your literary prowess. Indeed, your evocative language has drawn out of me the sweet memories of my great uncle Murphys home in suburban Springfield, which was furnished oddly similar to this one. My my, as the memories flood back, I’m suddenly overtaken by images of my young self happily doing laps in my great uncles septic pool underneath his house. Your brilliant prose has given me the precious gift of memories hidden away deep in my psyche and for that I cannot thank you enough.
I remain ever faithfully your #1 fan,
Reginald Smacklebottom Esq.
Thank you so much for the wonderful compliments Mr. Smacklebottom. I am thrilled that you enjoy my writing. I aim to please. Have a great weekend.
I also was shook
It was a shook worthy home. Thank you for the read. Have a great weekend.
