Just Take Meandering Way Alllll the Way to This Gated North Dallas Home

If you’re ever around Richardson and Far North Dallas, you’ve seen a street sign for Meandering Way. In fact, I’m positive you’ve seen it a thousand times, but how can one street be in so many places at one time? For this week’s Highlight Home sponsored by Dallas mortgage expert Lisa Peters of Cardinal Financial, I hope to answer that question and tell you about a neat little home on this very prolific street.

If you hop onto Google Maps with your little yellow Streetview guy, try to follow Meandering Way until it ends. You can’t. Nobody has the wrist dexterity to do that. Instead, I’ll try with words.

Meandering Way, the lengthy one to two-lane road in North Dallas and Richardson, is first mentioned in the Dallas Morning News back in 1956, when the city was taking bids for its paving from Valley View Lane to Alpha Road. Soon after, neighborhoods of new homes like Spring Valley Homes started popping up and populating the aptly described curvy road.

Geographically, one end of the road starts small at the 635 access road and travels north and south along a biking trail and linear park. This little mighty road crosses Alpha, Spring Valley, and Belt Line roads, waving a friendly hello to Fretz Park.

Then Pegman (that’s his name) continues to Westwood Jr. High on Arapaho Road, Bowie Elementary near Campbell Road, and Preston Ridge Trail at McCallum Blvd. I feel like I’m losing you, but we’re almost there I promise.

Now the road gets skinny past McCallum as you approach Frankford Road and this very well-landscaped dead end. You’ve arrived at the guard gates of Highland Creek Manor, where you probably didn’t even realize there was a gated community.

I’m having second thoughts about having led you down this guided tour of Meandering Way. Shall I just tell you about the home?

Inside this remarkable home, you’ll find a 1995-built two bedroom and two bath home with 1,626 square feet. Here there’s a dream kitchen and baths that have been recently updated. From new fixtures to cabinets, granite countertops to Viking gas cooktops, GE Pro Dishwashers to Convection Ovens, and even a top-of-the-line refrigerator — no detail has been overlooked. The Amantii electric fireplace with granite trim adds a touch of luxury, while Levalor ball shades, travertine flooring, and exceptional hardware enhance the ambiance. Designer lighting and recessed LED lights throughout this Meandering Way home provide a warm and inviting atmosphere.

But the beauty doesn’t stop indoors. Step outside into your private patio and perfectly-sized lawn, which has been expertly designed with fresh hardscape and landscape. Under the shade of a pergola, you can savor moments of quiet, and the backyard even boasts artificial turf for easy maintenance. It’s the perfect setting for relaxation and entertainment. And wine.

Beyond the aesthetic upgrades, this home is also equipped with practical improvements. Windows, doors, the water heater, and the heating and air conditioning system have all been replaced, ensuring comfort and energy efficiency.

Residents here in the guard-gated Highland Creek Manor have access to a clubhouse and a pool, making it a perfect choice for those who value security and a friendly neighborhood atmosphere with a sense of community. But if Pegman comes to the gate, let him in will ya?

Marlis Rossetta of David Griffin and Company Realtors has listed 18267 Meandering Way for $450,000. It’s on active contingent contract but if you really love this home, it’s worth reaching out to Marlis for a showing.
