McKinney Real Estate is Flying High Despite Vote Against McKinney National Airport Bond

So in May, McKinney voted against a $200 million bond that would have funded a commercial airport in their fair city. This, however, doesn’t mean McKinney’s future isn’t taking off with a commercial expansion of the McKinney National Airport. The city’s plans and talks with the Federal Aviation Administration just aren’t that quickly grounded.

Evidently, there are other ways to pay for the airport being talked about. Federal funds, state funds, cash reserves, partnerships, and facility charges are on the list of possible ways to fund an airport. According to a Dallas Morning News story this week, the McKinney City Council still could allow the commercialized airport to take flight.

No matter the airport’s future, though, the very consideration of an expansion means blue skies ahead for the county seat of Collin County. The North Texas suburb is an increasingly popular place to live, and CandysDirt.com is looking at open houses this week worthy of consideration.

4556 Lake Breeze Drive, McKinney

Sitting on almost two acres, the estate at 4556 Lake Breeze Drive allows a family plenty of space to spread out and watch any planes that someday might fly overhead. Lush green grass, dotted by mature trees, and a backyard pergola make this a beautiful living spot.

It’s priced at $1.1 million and offers endless prospects of what could be done with all this space. Greenhouse? Swimming pool? Horse barn? There’s a lot to think about here.
