This Week’s Open Houses Prove That Cookie-Cutter Homes Aren’t For Everyone

That bright floral wreath on the door. Or the simple brass door knocker. Or how about the color of that door? Inside, well-loved antiques or straight-lined metal? Or both?

There are the country houses, the edgy condos, and the white-columned traditionals. The real estate market is full of individual choices, and homeowners get to express themselves in those choices. Reasons people choose their homes, decorate their abodes and maintain their casas can say something about the residents.
