Many potential home buyers are setting goals this week and preparing checklists of the must-have features, whether they are new construction or existing homes.

Some have always dreamed of having an in-home library or a backyard swimming pool. Some just want separate sinks in the master bathroom.

This weekend’s open houses have something for everyone, but they all have one thing in common: new construction.

Dual Vanities And a Rooftop Patio

The new build at 3459 Crossman Ave. features an open, 3,348-square-foot floor plan for entertaining and family time.

Built in 2022, the $698,000 abode has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and amazing amenities. Special features include decorative lighting, luxury vinyl, and tile flooring. The rooftop patio is a perfect spot to ring in the new year or host a gathering of friends.

For those who have resolved to include meal prep and healthy eating in the new year, the chef-inspired kitchen is sure to please. It boasts marble countertops, ample storage space, a large kitchen island, a stainless-steel electric range, a dishwasher, and a built-in microwave. The only thing missing is an air fryer.

The master ensuite offers a private oasis with a walk-in closet, a master bath with dual vanities and a stand-alone shower. The highlight of this luxurious retreat is an exclusive private balcony.

The backyard can be shared with friends or family for a cookout on the covered patio.

Realtor Ashley Rimmer-Ratzel with Fathom Realty is hosting open houses from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, and from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8.

Game Time

The New Year’s resolution for less screen time might go out the bay window, but if you’ve always wanted a game room, this home in Carroll ISD is for you.

Nestled on a quiet cul-de-sac, the $1.95 million home at 3313 Jackson Court, Grapevine, has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a three-car garage.

Custom built new construction by V. Patrick Gray Custom Homes, the home is less than five minutes from downtown Southlake.

Spread out across 4,324 square feet, this abode hosts a spacious chef’s kitchen, catering kitchen, primary suite, guest suites, and a massive great room on the first floor. The large media/game room is also on the lower level.

Upstairs are two more ensuite bedrooms and an additional game area. The backyard features a large patio and outdoor kitchen, and there’s room to add a pool.

Well, I see that another ugly white box has invaded another older established neighborhood. Ridiculous, go ahead and flame me.
