These days, no one stays in one workplace for 25 years. Unless, of course, they really want to. And apparently 14 Ebby Halliday and Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate agents really want to.

On Wednesday, September 21, these seasoned real estate professionals gathered along with sales leaders and home office executives, at Al Biernat’s North in Addison for a special celebratory lunch. Last year, the Ebby Halliday Companies fêted 43 such 25-year anniversaries, so the ranks just keep swelling.

Twenty-five-year pins were awarded to the following:

As they raised a glass, Ebby Halliday Companies President Carolyn Rosson praised the recipients in her remarks.

“You all lead the culture,” she said. “You are the reason other agents want to join our firm. It’s because of you, the way you serve your clients and the way that you do business. So thank you, thank you, thank you.”

Sales Leaders in attendance, shown from left, are: Pamela Young (Ebby Southwest Dallas | Ellis Co.), Malinda Howell (Vice President Ebby Halliday Companies), Diane Hausler (Ebby Allen | Fairview | Lucas and Ebby Plano), Tiffany Anderson (Ebby McKinney), Bill Tucker (Ebby Frisco), Hillary Hansen (Ebby Plano West), Lee Thomas (DPMRE Park Cities), Jennifer Young (Ebby North Dallas) and Carolyn Rosson (President Ebby Halliday Companies)

As for why someone may stay at the Ebby Halliday Companies so long, DPMRE Lakewood agent Susan Nelson Wheeler provided a bit of insight.

“I started at Ebby Halliday a long time ago,” she said. “I get a lot of offers to come with other companies and I always tell them, ‘I’m not leaving. There’s no reason to leave.’ They support us in every way. They’re always thinking of new ways they can do things to make our lives easier.”

About his decision to join from another brokerage 25 years prior, Ebby Southwest Dallas | Ellis Co. agent Greg Hutchinson added, “I think the thing that made the difference with Ebby was the reputation of the company. The fact that when I went into somebody’s home to discuss the sale of their house, I had that company name behind me and that carried a lot of weight. They may not have known me from Adam, but they certainly knew the name Ebby Halliday.”

Senior Vice President, Brokerage Malinda Howell summed up the overall vibe of the occasion by saying, “This is an iconic company with iconic people. I think you are all living out our mission of ‘People First,’ and we are so honored to continue to have you. That doesn’t mean you can go anywhere — you’ve got 25 more years here. Who’s in?”
