This Addison Condo Offers Cool, Walkable Living Near Kaboom Town and More

I’m big on metaphors so bear with me as I describe this week’s High Caliber Home of the Week, sponsored by Lisa Peters of Caliber Home Loans. Lori Ericsson of David Griffin and Company Realtors has the listing for this 1,837-square-foot three-bedroom in Addison’s Meridian Square, a development of condominium flats completed in 2021.

Meridian Square is located just north of Arapaho Road and the Dallas North Tollway around the vibrant Addison Circle area. Addison is technically a town, not a city — and though town sounds folksy, Addison as a suburb feels like the cooler, hipper sibling of Dallas County. Its pioneering use of mixed-use development in the 1990s has been written about as a textbook example of new urbanism and it turned empty acreage east of Addison Airport into a destination for young working professionals to experience walkable living in a city where we’re in a deeply committed relationship with our cars.

And if we’re sticking with this metaphor of municipality personification, Addison is the kool kat (I felt like that warranted double K’s) — and Addison Circle is her popular, centrally-located party pad that hosts get-togethers every weekend. Addison Circle Park has fountains and water pools with more than 10 acres of open space that serves as the site for some of the area’s most popular happenings, including Taste Addison, Kaboom Town, Oktoberfest, and the monthly Addison After Dark event series. There you can attend 80s Night Out or Pups and Pints. How doggone cute is that?

But let’s zoom in on this condo.

It’s a sleek, modern condominium upgraded with wood floors and stylish window treatments throughout. The one-story open floorplan features a gourmet kitchen with quartz countertops, upgraded stainless steel appliances, and a large island with room for a breakfast bar.

(And just in case you’d benefit from a blank slate, here’s a look at the living room from a previous listing.)

Ericsson says this spacious three-bedroom condo has designer selected finishes throughout the three baths, including a spa-style primary bath with walk-in closets and plenty of storage space. The balcony gives you a little extension of the living room to relax or entertain.

Meridian Square has brick-paved streets and lush landscaping where you walk your pupper through the open courtyard and enjoy the resort-style pool and amenities. Homeowner’s Association fees are $441 a month and cover ground and pool maintenance.

Lori Ericsson of David Griffin and Company Realtors has listed 15875 Spectrum Drive, No. 1101 for $500,000.
