Kiss the Sky In This Luxurious Plano High-Rise Tower

Share News:

This week’s Splurge versus Steal takes us to one of the most impressive luxury high-rise towers in the Metroplex — Windrose Tower at Legacy West in west Plano. The 27-story glass tower above the corridor at the Dallas North Tollway and SH 121 is now completed and 70 percent sold.

Windrose Tower overlooks 400,000 square feet of shops, restaurants, and entertainment at Legacy West. This is shopping with a capital S. Chanel Fragrance and Beauty, Gucci, Tory Burch, Louis Vuitton, and Tiffany & Co. all opened just this year.

A few months ago, Karen Eubank gave us a look at the enormous Unit 2204 a few months ago — a stunning Monday Morning Millionaire with four bedrooms, five baths, and 5,392 square feet. But you don’t have to shell out $5.1 mil to enjoy the perks of this premium tower living.

Here you’ll find two impeccably appointed homes filled with natural light, open spaces, and oversized balconies with sleek modern fireplaces. Right this way to luxury:

The Steal

Unit 905

You’ll find this week’s Steal on the 9th floor, unit 905. I’d almost call this a hip pocket listing if that was still a thing because it’s unstaged and there’s only one photo of the actual unit on the MLS listing.

Actually I’m showing you several different one-bedroom units for lease to give you a better idea of what a prize this Unit 905 is. But lucky for you, you’re an eagle-eyed CandysDirt.com reader so you can get into the new Windrose Tower for under a million.

This one-bedroom, one-bath home has 1,018 square feet — roomier than you think. Actually with 264 square feet of balcony, the total living area of this southern-facing home comes to 1,284 square feet. L.J. Erickson, the listing agent representing the builder, tells us it’s the last one-bedroom available in the building.

The challenge with lower-story units can be partial light obstruction from nearby buildings, but our unit here 905 is situated higher than the building across the street. In this photo of unit 805, you can see how the home squares up with the top of the adjacent building.

L.J. Erickson with Duggan Realty has listed 7901 Windrose Tower, Unit 905 for $850,000.

The Splurge

We’re heading up to unit 1501 for our weekly splurge, listed by Cindy O’Gorman of Ebby Halliday Preston Keller. This beauty has two split bedrooms, two baths, and one powder bath with 2,255 square feet.

The home is a step-above with upgrades and beautiful finishes designed by Plano-based Kathy Prior Interior Creations. Stunning light fixtures, one of Prior’s design hallmarks, really stand out in the clean palette of this contemporary interior.

The only thing that’ll draw your attention away from those perfect fixtures are the views. The drop-dead gorgeous views. Enjoy the expansive views atop the 15th floor with north, east, and south views from the large balcony complete with a fireplace.

Cindy O’Gorman of Ebby Halliday Preston Keller has listed 7901 Windrose Avenue, Unit 1501 for $2.1 million.
