No Expense Spared in This Waterfront at Forest Home

This week’s High Caliber Home of the Week, sponsored by Lisa Peters of Caliber Home Loans, is a breathtaker – the noun form of breathtaking. Now, I’m not confident on the validity of that word but if there was ever a home that needed a noun created for it, it’s this one.

This North Dallas home located at 6263 Forest Lane is listed by Jennifer Davis Long of David Griffin and Company. It’s located in a new pocket of custom homes called the Waterfront at Forest, located on Forest Lane between Hillcrest and Preston. It’s just a perfect part of town near the High Five, shopping at the Galleria and Northpark, and anything else you’d need in the way of groceries, dining, or dry cleaning at the intersections of Preston at Forest, and Preston at Royal.

Why’s the neighborhood called the Waterfront? Why yes, the small enclave of homes all back to a small private lake surrounded by greenbelt and lush, mature trees.

This four-bedroom, 4,791-square-foot home sits on a 0.36 acre lot — one of the largest lots in the neighborhood. All that backyard space affords you a generous covered patio — more like a pavilion, really, with an impressive vaulted wood ceiling, custom pendant lighting, fireplace and gas grill. The backyard offers an impressive view of the private lake with an infinity-edge pool with spa and the coolest layers of artificial grass and green space.

“This home has the best of everything,” Long says. “No expense was spared to build this modern masterpiece.”

Inside, white oak floors meet floor-to-ceiling windows and 10.5-foot sliding glass doors. Continuing your upward gaze, you’ll find beamed ceilings and state-of-the-art Lutron lighting system. And not just a few Lutron switches here and there; the sellers invested $125,000 for complete Lutron smart lighting, Long tells us.

The kitchen is beautiful and do you want to know why? It’s both form and function. Yes, all-white kitchens look amazing but if you do any amount of cooking, you can’t tell me all that white really stays that way. The kitchen features Viking and Sub-zero appliances with an oversized island and breakfast bar.

More things that are breathtakers (patent pending): floating staircase, glass wine room, two-story windows, and this primary suite.

She’s a beaut and probably won’t be available for long.

Jennifer Davis Long with David Griffin and Company Realtors has listed 6263 Forest Lane for $4 million.
