Live Long in Prosper With This Traditional Charmer in a Choice Location

Share News:

It’s not surprising Prosper, Texas, has become one of the hottest places to buy a house in the state. What was once a simple railroad stop between Dallas and Sherman has become home to prominent athletes from the MLB and NFL.

Although the town has grown, it still retains that friendly small-town feel.

You also cannot beat the location. Prosper is only 35 miles north of Dallas and a little over an hour to Durant, Oklahoma. Frisco is 20 minutes away and you can get to Lake Texoma in an hour.  It really is the heart of North Texas.

Drees Homebuilders have been captivated by Prosper for some time and have a reputation for excellence and design with a family’s comfort in mind.

A wine cellar and butler’s pantry provide access from the elegant dining room to the family room, kitchen, and breakfast room.

With 4,847 square feet, five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a powder bath, it’s the ideal family home. The luxurious principal suite with a dramatic barrel-vault ceiling offers his-and-hers closets, a must in today’s market. Upstairs a media room and game room will keep the kids busy when they are not enjoying the enormous back yard or community amenities.

The neighborhood amenities include the bucolic Wilson Creek, two community pools, and walking trails.

“Prosper is up and coming,” and allows people to be close enough to the city yet far from the chaos,” RE/MAX DFW Associates Laura Morin said.

Gated communities are coveted in any and considering your kids can walk to a great neighborhood school, it’s a return to that small-town feel that still prevails in Prosper.

Morin has this traditional charmer at 600 Glen Canyon Drive in Prosper listed for $1.05 million. It only listed on Thursday and we hear there was incredible interest this past weekend so give Morin a call, before you lose it to another professional athlete!

Whitley Place is a beautiful subdivision in Prosper. However, it is not one of the gated communities.
