This Parker County ranch is 141 acres of beautiful Texas homestead.

Saddle up your horses, we have a trail to blaze to Parker County where we find an amazing homestead complete with an elaborate home, guest house, barn, stables, and so much more.

This incredible property is the Bluestem Ranch, which was owned by the late Bob Kingsley.

Who Was Bob Kingsley?

Some might be asking, “Well, who is Bob Kingsley, and what’s that got to do with is ranch?”

Bob Kingsley was an American country music radio personality known for hosting the syndicated radio programs American Country Countdown and Bob Kingsley’s Country Top 40.

A quick Internet search pulled up videos and clips of Kingsley’s broadcasts and immediately I recognized that smooth, friendly voice.

In 1995, Bob and his wife Nan moved to Weatherford and started raising cutting horses on their property called the Bluestem Ranch.

Bob Kingsley passed away in 2019 and his 141-acre ranch is available for sale.

The Bluestem Ranch is on one of the highest peaks in Parker County.

Bluestem Ranch

The address is 5409 Old Dennis Road, but it’s known as the Bluestem Ranch. Totaling 141 sprawling acres of beautiful Texas terrain along with a 10,438-square-foot home, the ranch also sports a separate guest house, a 19-stall barn, and a huge riding arena.

Every ranch needs a banquet hall

Inside the spacious main home you will find plenty of jaw-dropping features. Aside from the meticulous attention to detail throughout the property, you will find a banquet hall with amazing views that is an ideal spot for hosting guests.

Imagine all the country music stars that sat around this island at Bluestem Ranch.

For more intimate gatherings, the kitchen also provides panoramic views while gathering around the island, complete with a wood-burning pizza oven, Thermador Jet Direct double ovens, and a Morice French-made gas range.

Within the main homestead are private offices, a climate-controlled wine room, and a gym that comes complete with an exercise pool.

Guest House, Stables and Barn

For guests visiting Bluestem Ranch, there is a private three bedroom home to enjoy. Just a few steps away is a first-rate barn that features nine stalls for horses, a separate mare wing hosts 10 stalls as well.

There are 10 stalls for mares in addition to the nine additional stalls in the top-notch barn.

While Bob and Nan trained cutting horses, the covered arena is large enough to train any discipline. It features swinging gates that will modify the size specifically for cutting.

There is also an apartment attached to the barn for a live-in manager, or in case the main house and guest house are already booked.

You ask me what I like about Texas …

The great singer and songwriter, Gary P. Nunn, penned What I like about Texas in which he sang, “I tell you it’s the wide-open spaces …” among many other unique facets.

Sunsets just don’t get any better than in Texas

Those words ring true when taking in the beautiful views of the Bluestem Ranch. Surely Bob and Nan Kingsley thought of that song many times while enjoying the wide-open spaces of their property.

Whether it’s watching the Texas sun setting in the West or the green pastures where the cows graze, the Bluestem Ranch is truly a special place. Imagine all the guests who have visited this property!
