As we settle into the holiday season’s warmth, we cannot help but reflect on all which has brought us comfort during this unpredictable year. Like so many, our year began filled with promise, excitement, and a message of love.

Love for our clients, our vendors, our community, and our homes.

How fitting that message proved to be as we found ourselves spending much more time at home, with our families, and ourselves. Our homes indeed became our sanctuaries, a place to let go, find peace, and be unequivocally ourselves. We helped our customers design their sanctuary, adding layers of joy with color and texture through art, decor, and textiles to inspire and uplift.

As the home office became the new normal, we found new ways to create productive yet comforting spaces through beautiful lighting and comforting home fragrances. Simple updates left lasting impressions and kept us motivated as we took on these changes in stride.

The front door of Talulah & HESS was painted a rosy pink as we sought to envelop our customers in warmth, joy, kindness, gratitude, and hope, even before they stepped into the store. As we all collectively slowed down, we found time for reflection and self-care, learning new ways to calm our souls, settle our thoughts, and be present for loved ones.

Together, our community supported each other through outreach, food drives, and fundraising. While events were canceled or rescheduled, neighbors found new and resourceful ways to celebrate life’s momentous occasions, proving the heartbeat of this community is truly our East Dallas residents. As we celebrate the last holidays of the season, we will continue to carry these feelings and lessons with us into the new year.

It is our privilege to be a home away from home to our wonderful customers, whose bright spirits leave us hopeful and grateful for all that 2021 has in store. Let us finish this year celebrating the good with the gift of love, the gift of peace, and the gift of joy.

May all these be yours this Holiday season.
