We had to flip a coin whether to lead this story with this Garland home’s perfect patio or its enviable amounts of storage space. Seeing as its Independence Day weekend, we opted for the fabulous patio at 7305 Ramblewood Drive in the gated Retreat at Firewheel subdivision in Garland.
Listing agent Linda Black of RE/MAX DFW Associates describes it as pure bliss and we agree. I mean, look how the trees perfectly frame the fountain from the community pond as you gaze out from underneath this timber-framed outdoor living space complete with built-in grill, vent hood, and built-in cooler. You’ll stay warm with a wood-burning fireplace, stay cool with three ceiling fans, and escape the mosquitos with automated patio screens. Patio living, here we come.
Built in 2000 by Laguna Homes, this four bedroom, three and half-bath home has 4,251 square feet on a 0.35 acre lot. Black says homes on the community pond don’t come up for sale very often, so this one’s worth jumping on.
The home has a stunning entry with double wrought iron door with matching transom, hand-scraped hardwood floors, and soaring ceilings.
With granite countertops, a center island, and plentiful workspace, the remodeled kitchen is a chef’s delight with a 48″ Wolf gas cooktop, double oven, built-in cooler, built-in microwave, and GE 42″ built-in refrigerator installed in 2020.
The downstairs primary suite has a gas fireplace with custom iron fireplace doors, a large spa-like bath, and expanded walk-in closet with elevated locking cabinet.
A second bedroom with ensuite bath is downstairs with two additional bedrooms and a game room upstairs. The secondary downstairs bedroom has a built-in desk so the space could be used as a home office or an additional bedroom. There are two additional bedrooms upstairs and an oversized game room with wet bar is also located upstairs.
Located behind the kitchen is a large room that could be a hobby room or office-slash-homeschool room with extensive cabinets and workspace.
And that dream storage? There is floored walk-in attic space accessible from the game room along with an oversized closet at the back of the game room. That means no more lugging bulky boxes down narrow attic stairs. There are two oversized storage closets in the garage along with a built-in workbench, cabinets, and sink in the garage.
