No Handshakes, But Plenty Of Soap At Dallas Open Houses

Share News:

Christina White with Coldwell Banker Realty Frisco has listed 504 Bristol Drive for $2.399 million. Open House, Sunday, March 22, 3 to 5 p.m.

Despite coronavirus concerns, Dallas open houses are still on. In fact, real estate agents across the metro are taking every precaution to safely hold them open.

Two Reasons For Dallas Open Houses: Buyers Are Out, Rates Are Low

“Buyers are out,” says listing agent Piper Young with Piper + Brown Group at Compass, who is hosting an open house Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at 5723 W. Hanover Avenue in Devonshire. “Rates are so low, this opportunity is too good not to make a move if you are in the market. We are taking the virus seriously and keeping our distance from visitors to our homes, limiting the number of visitors allowed in at a time, and doing our best to keep surfaces sanitized.”

Aaron Stokes with Keller Williams tells us, “My team will have a total of 11 homes being held open this weekend. I’ll personally be doing 4557 Belclaire Avenue on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. I will have hand sanitizer available in multiple areas of the home along with hand soap at the sinks. I want to ensure people have the availability to wash up so they are able to view this spectacular home. There will be no handshake introductions to make sure our open house guests feel comfortable. I am looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend.”

Agents Band Together To Keep Buyers Safe

“We want our prospective buyer guests to enjoy touring the property in the safest environment we can provide,” says Jennifer LeLash with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty. “To prepare, we have sought the guidance from Robbie Briggs, the Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s leadership team, and the CDC.”

“I believe the serious homebuyers are more focused on the low interest rates rather than the Coronavirus at this time,” adds Christina White with Coldwell Banker Frisco. “Only time will tell, however, I certainly hope that the low interest rates will instill additional activity in home sales.”

Here is a fantastic find in Allen! It rests in a gated community, affording five-bedrooms, five-full-and-two-half-bathrooms, plus a heated pool and spa. And the home theatre, wet bar, and wine cellar will help to keep your spirits up.

The chef’s kitchen is dressed to the nines, and the master is great for self-care. But the outdoor entertaining area is exactly what the doctor ordered!

Beautifully landscaped grounds and dramatic architecture make this a wonderful place to stay home and ride out the Covid-19 wave.

Listing agent Christina White wants buyers to know…

“We are certainly considering the safety of our visitors who come through the Open House events. And in an effort to do that, we will be providing hand sanitizer at the front door, along with booties that the prospective buyers may wear. We will limit contact by not shaking hands and we will not serve any cookies or water at this time. We will certainly encourage anyone who has symptoms to stay home.”

Christina White with Coldwell Banker Realty Frisco has listed 504 Bristol Drive for $2.399 million.

Perfect In Preston Hollow

Open House: Sunday, March 22, 2 to 4 p.m.

Last but not least, someone needs to scoop up this designer dream in Preston Hollow! According to Jennifer LeLash, “The best part in this house is the new construction. The lucky buyers will be first to live in the property.”

The modern Spanish Colonial is on quiet street between Desco and Falls Road, and has all the space you and your family will need to hunker down for a while. This includes six-bedrooms, six-full-and-three-half-bathrooms, and a whopping 7,216 square feet. The main floor master offers a luxe bath, sitting room, and outdoor meditation space – a welcome place to practice mindfulness in these trying times. Other high notes are a bonus Casita, wine bar, plus a chef’s kitchen outfit with Wolf, SubZero, and Bosch.

LeLash Assures Us…

“Our first open house implementing these practices went extremely well and our guests appreciated the level of thoughtful preparedness we provided. Going forward we now ask that guests refrain from touching anything. But if they do, we continue to provide Clorox wipes for the door handles, countertops, fixtures – any surfaces that our open house guests may have touched.”

“We have added disposable gloves for our guests to use. Just another layer of protection. My husband and business partner will write guests names at sign-in instead of them having to share pens. He will remain at the appropriate social distance to greet guests. We have hand sanitizer and soap for all to use along with paper towels, no guest towels. We will clean the property using gloves in between guests and post open house. Disposing of wipes, gloves immediately. Since the property is staged, it’s about taking precautions for the open house guests, ourselves and most importantly the buyers of this exceptional property. An abundance of caution for everyone collectively.”

Jennifer LeLash with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty has listed 5940 Watson Avenue for $3.175 million.
