Rare Fully-Detached Townhomes Are What Set Swiss Ave Crossing Apart From Others

Share News:

The single-most striking fact about the new townhomes going up at Swiss Ave Crossing is that they’re single-family detached homes. Yes, a detached townhome with no shared walls!

Centre Living Homes, the custom home builder behind Richardson’s CityLine, Bishop Arts, and the Cedars south of downtown, is halfway complete with the single-family home community called Swiss Ave Crossing. Located at 4100 Swiss Avenue in Old East Dallas near the Baylor Medical District and Deep Ellum, Swiss Ave Crossing by Centre Living Homes will feature 21 fully detached luxury townhomes starting at $459,000.

But why go to the trouble of building detached homes that are built row-style like traditional townhomes? Jordan August of Centre Living says they’re perfect for someone who doesn’t want the issues that come along with sharing a wall with neighbors while getting all the perks for a townhome’s smaller lots and included yard maintenance. “It’s the best of both worlds,” August says. “You have the privacy of a single-family home plus the low-maintenance benefits of townhome living.”

The homes are technically zero-lot, but August would consider them garden-style homes with lots of open green space surrounding the fully-gated patios and side lawns of these homes. The homes’ landscaped exteriors have grassy areas with sprinkler systems and other landscaping maintained by the HOA. Swiss Ave Crossing is also one of the few fully gated, new construction townhome communities currently being offered in East Dallas.

From afar, the three- and four-story homes appear as crisp white buildings with modern architecture, but up close you’ll see each home has a unique exterior façade: solid color and speckled Acme Brick, Hardie cement fiberboard siding, and black iron railing. Some homes have roof-top decks with panoramic views of the Dallas skyline, while others have courtyards and private backyards on premium corner lots.

Centre Living Homes is known for really paying attention to quality and energy-efficient home construction. At Swiss Ave Crossing, Centre Living Homes uses Owens Corning 30-year architectural composition shingle roofs with seamless rain gutter systems built-in. They use Huber Advantech, a type of subfloor that is glued and screwed in place to reduce the possibility of annoying squeaks as you walk on storied floors.

The interiors are quality, too, featuring a large variety of floorplans and finishes with no two homes alike. Each home features tankless water heaters, Liftmaster wi-fi enabled garage door opener, Z-Wave enabled Schlage Connect smart deadbolts, Honeywell thermostats, Leviton lamp plug-ins, and a QOLSYS IQ Smart Home system to control it all.

The kitchens, in particular, are top-notch with quartz countertops, tile backsplash, hand-crafted custom painted shaker style cabinets with hidden hinges, pull-out trash and recycle cabinets, and Kitchenaid appliances including a five-burner gas cooktop, oven, three-rack dishwasher, and built-in microwave.

Residents will have some fantastic dining, shopping, and entertainment destinations within blocks, including Petra and the Beast, Sons of Hermann Hall, and Hari Mari plus Deep Ellum is just minutes away.

Phase I is already 50 percent sold out so I’d hop to it. Check out complete floorplans at CentreLivingHomes.com or reach out to Community Sales Manager Jordan August at 214-502-8319 or [email protected].
