Greater East Dallas Chamber’s Oct. 15 Summit Features KW Urban’s Alexa Conomos and Bradley Anderson

Share News:

The Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 15th annual economic summit on Oct. 15, and we’re excited to take the temperature of the increasingly hot area of East Dallas. No better folks to show us how #EastDallasWorks than Realtors, who have boots-on-the-ground experience with neighborhoods and the people who live there. But what’s exciting about the keynote speakers for this year’s crystal anniversary event is that they are none other than Alexa Conomos and Bradley Anderson, two-thirds of the Anderson Conomos Team at Keller Williams Urban Dallas

The pair is serving up some inspiration to East Dallas business owners next Tuesday, which is reason enough to buy your tickets to the event. Sponsorships are available, too!

Lucky for our readers, we managed to catch the extremely busy East Dallas power couple, Conomos and Anderson, for a little Q&A. Read on for more!

Tell us a little bit about why you’re excited about the Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce Economic Summit:

Alexa: We’re looking forward to meeting with so many other groups who love East Dallas as much as we do. It truly is one of the most special communities in North Texas. So much character and authenticity. There’s no place like it.

Bradley: It’s also a great opportunity to network and meet even more of our fellow East Dallas business owners and community leaders. East Dallas is a great place to do business!

How are you leveraging your experience in your real estate career? How does your particular background prove to be an asset in the Dallas real estate market?

Alexa: As a broadcaster and traffic reporter here for 17 years, I became very familiar with the roads, neighborhoods, and communities of North Texas. When I take on a listing, I approach the marketing through the lens of a storyteller. Every home has a unique story — as does every neighborhood. It’s my job to tell it in a creative way that resonates with prospective buyers.

Bradley: As a lawyer by trade, my nearly 20 years of legal experience bring added value to every transaction we do. Coupled with living in Dallas for the past 39 years and owning and growing several businesses here, I have unique insight, experience, and familiarity with the Dallas market.

Where in the Greater East Dallas are you seeing the most value for homebuyers when it comes to convenience, schools, shopping, and housing stock?

Alexa: Uh oh, this is like asking us to choose a favorite child!!  From Lakewood to Little Forest Hills to Hollywood Heights, all the East Dallas neighborhoods have something unique and authentic about them. But I will admit that we love Claremont and think that’s a great area to target right now. It’s a tight-knit community, up and coming, relatively affordable, and has tons of charm and personality.

Bradley: We are also big fans of Lochwood and Eastwood. Just like Claremont and so many other East Dallas neighborhoods, you have folks who really care about and invest in their community. You’ve got incredible greenbelts and some of the most beautiful streets and interesting architecture in Dallas.

Tell us: What has been your favorite experience since you became a team at Keller Williams?

Alexa: First of all, we love the culture and team atmosphere at Keller Williams Urban Dallas. That in and of itself has been an incredible experience — it’s a true example of integrity and teamwork in a corporate environment.

Bradley: Also, helping our friends and any of our clients buy and sell homes – walking that journey with them – is very rewarding. Real estate transactions are often the largest and most important transactions that people enter into. So, it’s an opportunity and a level of trust we never take for granted.

Likewise, anything particularly interesting happen in the course of selling real estate?

Alexa: When we first formed Anderson Conomos Team, we had hoped that our expertise in our various fields would help feed our real estate business, I don’t think we realized how deeply our spheres within the restaurant, law, and multimedia worlds would interconnect and ultimately help us grow all of our businesses.

Bradley: So to Alexa’s point, we use Boulevardier, Rapscallion and Hillside Tavern to cross-market our real estate business to customers. You’ll see our framed real estate postcards in all the bathrooms [laughs]! And nothing makes for a better closing gift than a bottle of wine or a gift card from Veritas Wine Room! It’s a fun and easy way to constantly feeding the pipeline for all of our family businesses.

Lightning Round: What are your top 5 restaurants in the Greater East Dallas area that are in regular circulation?

Alexa: Well we’re both biased (or maybe not!) so definitely Rapscallion, Hillside Tavern, and Veritas Wine Room! Rounding out the top 5, I’d say Cafe Izmir and The Grape.

Bradley: Definitely. I’d like to add that Courtney and Brian Luscher of The Grape have been fantastic neighbors of our law practice on lower Greenville for the past 15 or so years. We’re going to miss them. They symbolize the best of what East Dallas has to offer.
