What location or area do you primarily build in? What about the location makes it especially attractive?

Primarily South of LBJ, it’s a prime area for revitalization. If offers lots of options for shopping, schools, entertainment, and is close to Dallas’s 2 major airports

What’s your go-to architectural style? Traditional? Contemporary? Old World? Modern?

We definitely gravitate towards modern as our personal favorite however will build whatever a client is wanting within reason. We have a 14 year history of building modern and it has been our calling card over the years.

How does your company provide value to your clients?

With 35 years of experience in the industry and 15 years of experience building under Classic Urban Homes we have built a team of industry professionals that understand what we are doing and the attention to details we require. An experience team is not always the cheapest on the front end but pays for its self may times over during the life of the home. I like to say” you either pay for it upfront or you really pay for it down the road.”

Have you received any recent awards? What for? From whom?

This year we were honored to receive the D Home Best Builder recognition for the 10th consecutive year. We have also been named the Custom Builder of the Year by the Dallas Builders Association 3 times as well as numerous other awards over the years.

Considering the competition, how does your brand distinguish itself?

Classic Urban Homes brings experience, knowledge and value to our clients. Being in the industry for over 30 years we know what works and what doesn’t. Our teams of industry experts know how to execute the details both aesthetically and just as importantly behind the walls to build a home that will perform well and last. We stay update on code and building science details to make sure our homes will stand up to our extreme weather patterns.

What does being a member of the Dallas Builders Association do for you and your business?

Being a member of the DBA give us access to education to make sure we are up to date on the latest build techniques and stay ahead of industry standards when building a high performance home. It also give us a voice and professionalism in an industry that can be very fragmented without any formal licensing or training. It’s a great way to network with other industry professionals.  I have been honored to be a president of the Dallas Builders Association as well as member for over 13 years.

What is the biggest challenge you face in the current market? What are you doing to overcome it?

One of the biggest challenges is to educate potential buyers on what to look for and what questions to ask of a builder when shopping for a new home. Many homes may look similar in style and appearance but what is behind the walls can be night and day difference. These differences can be costly over the life time of ownership. When buyers are shopping for a home they really need to do as much research on the builder as they do shopping for price and neighborhood. You want a builder that’s going to be there for you long after the sale is complete.
