Open house: Saturday, Feb. 17, 1-3 p.m.

The home at 17310 Club Hill Dr. has contemporary architecture and million-dollar views through walls of windows. The Bent Tree Royal neighborhood is tucked away between two creeks with winding streets and lots of mature trees. This home has four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, one half bath, two living areas, two dining areas, and 4,557 square feet on two stories, built in 1980.

This incredibly unusual home features a 55-foot entry gallery with a formal sitting or music area and dramatic opposing skylights. A wall of windows overlooks a private courtyard and the house has sweeping views of the 15th fairway of Bent Tree, White Rock Creek, and Preston Trail Golf Course. The updated kitchen is a dream with a butler’s pantry, granite countertops, and a Thermador Professional Series six-burner gas cooktop, along with dual dishwashers, ovens, and sinks. The family room has a large gas fireplace and media center — the full house sound system with speakers has its main hub here. The master suite features dual baths, walk-in closet, and dressing area with six built-in lighted double wardrobe closets. The large private courtyard spans the length of the gallery cantilevered stairs and landings lead down to the lower covered patio and the golf course.

This home was listed Feb. 5 by Jacqui Bloomquist with Coldwell Banker Apex, Realtors for $935,000. HOA fees are $600 quarterly.

LIGHT-AND-BRIGHT BRIARWOOD COTTAGE WITH POOL

Open house: Sunday, Feb. 18, 2-4 p.m.

The updated home at 8507 Briarwood Ln. is nestled between some of Dallas’ finest neighborhoods, like Bluffview, Greenway Parks, and Old Preston Hollow near West Lovers Lane and Inwood Road. This home has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, three living areas, and 2,264 square feet on one story, built in 1950.

The living room has a two-sided fireplace that opens into the dining and sun room, and hardwood floors run through most of the home. The updated kitchen features quartz countertops, glass tile backsplash, breakfast bar, Shaker-style cabinets, and stainless steel appliances, including a gas cooktop and built-in wine refrigerator. Beyond a bright hallway overlooking the pool is the master suite, with walk-in closet, dual sinks, and a separate shower with frameless glass enclosure. The sunroom is a quaint, relaxing space with a view of the sizable pool and deck in the backyard.

This home was listed Jan. 25 by Curt Elliott and Paige Elliott with Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate for $699,900.

RENOVATED BUCKNER TERRACE HOME WITH HARDWOOD FLOORS

Open house: Sunday, Feb. 18, 1-3 p.m.

Buckner Terrace continues its rise as an East Dallas neighborhood with a ton to offer. The renovated home at 5153 Colter Way is a beautiful example of what’s available there. This home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas, two dining areas, and 2,042 square feet on one story, built in 1966.

This home has been completely updated with new electrical wiring, hardwoods, carpet, ceramic tile floors, and fresh paint. The aesthetic is modern and sleek. An updated eat-in kitchen offers quartz countertops, tons of Shaker-style white cabinets, subway tile backsplash, and stainless steel appliances. A large living area is anchored by a painted brick fireplace and a glass door is flanked by large windows overlooking the backyard. New bathrooms include granite countertops, penny tile, large-format tile, stylish fixtures, and an oversized walk-in shower in the master, which also has dual vanities.

This home was listed Feb. 13 by Jim Maxwell with United Real Estate — Dallas for $325,000.

This is one of the first houses over $300K I’ve seen there. It’s one of the final frontiers for affordable East Dallas housing.

That area IS exploding in East Dallas. I have recently listed and sold several over there. Two on Chilton Dr, south of 30, both over $300k in a matter of days. That one on 5153 Coulter will go quick no doubt! Looks like a great Renovation.

If looking in the Bent Tree/Preston Trails area of Dallas’….pop on over and see my new listing at 17310 Club Hill Dr. …things are popping over there as well!!
