Far North Dallas offers a lot of desirable areas, high-end neighborhoods, and real estate options for homebuyers.

In this week’s Splurge vs. Steal, we’re headed to Bent Tree in Far North Dallas. This desirable neighborhood has two houses for sale next door to each other. They’re both luxury houses, each with a lot to offer. Like so many other homes in the area, these have a lot of square footage —  3,770 and 4,350 — and space for a family. Let’s take a look.

The house at 5928 Club Oaks Dr. is our splurge this week, completely renovated from floor to ceiling with designer finishes and lighting. This house has five bedrooms, four full bathrooms, one half bath, a study, two living areas, two dining areas, and 3,770 square feet on two stories, built in 1976.

The large study has a closet and could be a sixth bedroom with a dramatic wood-paneled ceiling. The open living-dining-kitchen area features a high vaulted, beamed ceiling, iron contemporary chandeliers, floor-to-ceiling fireplace, and is a gorgeous room. Walk into the kitchen and find an oversized waterfall-edge quartz island, a granite sink, gray arabesque backsplash, all new appliances, Shaker-style cabinets, and a butler’s pantry. The downstairs master and guest suite have a private entrance and the master’s ensuite bathroom is simply marvelous with dual frameless glass showers, a contemporary soaker tub, marble tiles, dual sinks, and more. The beautiful backyard features a completely renovated pool on wireless control systems and fresh landscaping.

This home was listed Sept. 29 by Julie Williams and Monica Szewczyk, the Texas Property Sisters, with Keller Williams Realty for $1.299 million, reduced to $1.195 million.
