What You Can Rent For $900 in The Dallas Area

Rents have been on the rise in Dallas, with the median one-bedroom apartment in Dallas proper renting for $890 a month. Throughout the Dallas area, some suburbs still offer lower prices compared to Dallas, while others are considerably more expensive.

To give renters an idea of how far their rent check will go, we’re highlighting properties at the Dallas median price in Dallas proper, as well as in 10 surrounding cities. From one-bedrooms in Frisco and Carrollton to two-bedrooms in Fort Worth and Garland, there are plenty of great rentals in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro for around $890 a month.

Central Park Apartments in Dallas: $845

These 624-square-foot, one-bedroom apartments rent for right around the median Dallas rent. The Central Park apartments, located in the Vickery Meadow neighborhood, offer lower rent than many downtown apartments. Located walking distance from the Walnut Hill station, commuting to downtown Dallas is still a breeze from these apartments. Newly renovated with a gym, pool, fire pit, and grills, these apartments offer a lot of value for their price.

The Estates in Ridglea Hill in Fort Worth: $925

For just over the median price of a Dallas one-bedroom, renters in Fort Worth can rent this 966-square-foot, two-bedroom apartment. The apartment complex also includes a gym, hot tub, pool, playground, and tennis court. The Estates at Ridglea Hills is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood just blocks from Ridglea Hills Elementary School.

Villa Del Mar in Arlington: $900

Arlington rents grew 9.4 percent over the past year, the second-fastest rent growth out of the 100 largest U.S. cities. One-bedroom apartments at Villa Del Mar rent for $900, below the Arlington median price of $960. With walk-in closets, an internet cafe, and plentiful communal amenities, these apartments are a great option at the $900 price point.

Bel Air Ridge in Plano: $855

One-bedroom apartments at Bel Air Ridge in Plano rent for $855, $35 under the Dallas median rent. These apartments are within walking distance from schools and city parks, and just minutes from the Plano Medical Center and DART station.

Gateway Place Apartments in Garland: $915

The Gateway Place Apartments offer a lot of space for their price, with 870-square-foot, two-bed, two-bath apartments renting for $915. Renters can also opt for more space with 915-square-foot two-bedrooms renting for $930. Gateway Place Apartments offer 24-hour emergency maintenance, limited access gates, an alarm system, and free covered parking to help offer residents peace of mind.

Jefferson Park in Irving: $870

A 608-square-foot apartment at Jefferson Park in Irving rents for $870, just under the Dallas proper median rent. The apartments are equipped with modern appliances and have large closets and extra storage for renters who need more space for their belongings. The community has on-site laundry, a gym, a pool, and a hot tub.

Belmont in Grand Prairie: $859

In Grand Prairie, $856 will rent you a 760-square-foot, one-bedroom apartment with an open floor plan and private balcony or patio. The community also includes a fitness center, clubhouse, and two swimming pools. The Belmont apartments are located halfway between Dallas and Fort Worth near I-30, just a short drive from D/FW International Airport, Six Flags Over Texas, AT&T Stadium, and Globe Life Ballpark.

Westcreek Apartments in McKinney: $905

For $905 a month, McKinney residents can rent a 661-square-foot, one-bed one-bathroom apartment. These modern apartments are equipped with hardwood floors, granite counters, stainless steel appliances, and in-unit laundry. Westcreek Apartments are pet friendly, and even include a dog park for your favorite pooch to enjoy.

Sonsrena in Frisco: $875

The Frisco median one-bedroom rent sits at $1,270, but there are still great apartments for less. Sonsrena offers one-bedrooms starting at $875, just under the Dallas median price of $890. The community includes an 8,000-square-foot clubhouse with a theater room, kitchen area, and family center for events, in addition to outdoor amenities such as pools, hot tubs, and grilling stations. Sonsrena apartments also offers two- and three-bedroom apartments at a variety of price points between $1,320 and $1,910.

Lane at Towne Crossing in Mesquite: $895

These beautiful two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments in Mesquite rent for $895 a month, offering a good value for their price. Apartments include features such as modern appliances, fireplaces, large walk-in closets, and private balconies. The Lane at Towne Crossing is walking distance from many restaurants, and conveniently located near interstates I-30 and I-635.

The Carling on Frankford in Carrollton: $874

Located in the top-notch Carrollton school district, the Carling on Frankford offers one- and two-bedroom options, with prices ranging from $874 to $1,207 depending on size. These apartments are pet-friendly with luxurious features including a resort-style pool with new designer lounge furniture and a summer kitchen with grilling stations.


Although rents are on the rise across the Dallas metro, there are still beautiful apartments for around $900 in all of the largest cities in the area. With both one- and two-bedroom units available in several complexes, and many including luxury amenities, Dallas renters still have great options at moderate price points.
