Lake Highlands’ L Streets is a sought-after area in East Dallas and for good reason: super cute houses, established neighborhood, and close proximity to White Rock Lake and other area amenities.

Our Thursday Three Hundred at 10690 Le Mans Dr. brings almost 2,000 square feet of renovated style to market. Owners opened the floorplan in the common areas and added a lot of buyer “wants,” like new hardwoods and new windows.

This home has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,947 square feet on one story, built in 1960 and located near East Northwest Highway and Plano Road. There’s an open house this Sunday from 1-3 p.m. Want a sneak peek?

The L Streets’ development began in the mid-1950s and it is thus named because all the streets begin with the letter L. It’s a neighborhood of about 1,050 single family homes and is bordered by Walnut Hill Lane, Plano Road, Ferndale Road, and East Northwest Highway. It’s easy to get where you want to go from here with close proximity to LBJ Freeway.

The curb appeal is the first new thing you’ll notice here, with freshly painted brick, siding, and cedar shutters and decorative planks. Xeriscaping will provide low maintenance in front.

Inside, those new hardwoods start at the entryway and carry through the living and dining areas. The flow is easy and the spaces well-proportioned. There’s a fireplace in the living area and lots of natural light.

The renovated kitchen is open to the living-dining areas and has a breakfast bar, granite countertops, lots of cabinet space, tumbled stone backsplash, and stainless steel appliances, including a gas range.

Bedrooms and bathrooms are generously sized, and the master offers a walk-in closet and frameless glass shower. The layout is a little awkward with a soaker tub in the corner, but it’s still a nice feature for the mater ensuite.

In back, there’s a wood deck, grassy green space, mature trees, and a privacy fence.

This home was listed Sept. 7 by Lewis McKnight with Keller Williams, Turtle Creek, for $379,000

We saw this house and it is done beautifully. We did not love its location bordering Plano RD. It is very loud outside and not ideal for little ones safety. If not for that, it was darn near perfect. The house shows well.
