You would think not too many people are having open houses this weekend, and you’d be correct! But we still managed to find five outstanding properties for our CandysDirt Open Houses of the Week column. Every Thursday, we pick five fabulous Dallas open houses you shouldn’t miss.

One of Dallas’ oldest neighborhoods is Junius Heights, and the home at 725 Lowell St. is an original there. We love a great Craftsman, and the remodeled one at 611 N. Montclair Ave. is simply stunning. Built in 1923, it has been reimagined with the original feel preserved and modern touches added. This house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,940 square feet on one story.

In the front living room, an original fireplace takes center stage, flanked by original built-in cabinets. The hardwoods are original to the house, restored to a gleaming shine.
