Contemporary design can be so easy to love, but what’s appealing about this urban townhome in the Oak Lawn neighborhood is that it has sleek open spaces with clean lines and plenty of room for entertaining. I’m not the only one who adores its flexibility, as our own Leah Shafer featured this unit yesterday in our Open House Roundup.

Of course, you can see inside this lovely home this weekend at the open house, which is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 1, from 1 to 3 p.m. Jump to see more photos if this incredible townhome.

There’s more to love about this unit other than the location. Those beautiful honey-colored bamboo floors, for starters, are perfect with the clean lines and contemporary feel of this 2,250-square-foot townhome at 4235 Holland Ave., and Unit B has just about everything a Millennial could want within walking distance, with Whole Foods, restaurants, shopping and more just a matter of yards away. Keen eyes will notice that this unit is already outfitted for dog lovers with a dog door that opens to the fenced area in front of the unit.
This four-story condo is sleek and stylish, and it just hit the market. Svetlana Grujic with Clay Stapp + Co. is offering this three-bedroom, three-full-and-one-half-bath home for $529,000. As Leah noted, monthly HOA dues are just $250 a month. To me, the value in this unit is its move-in ready condition means that I don’t have to lift a finger. White walls are great for hanging art, and there are plenty of windows throughout. I also love the kitchen configuration. Plenty of counter space and tons of custom cabinetry means that you don’t have to worry about storage, plus those cute open shelves are very on-trend. You also benefit from an eat-in bar and a peninsula — great for entertaining. The stainless steel appliances work well in the space, too, and I really like the subtle mosaic on the backsplash.

It’s a four-story condo, so you’re going to get your steps in going upstairs to the master suite. It’s a good thing, because your legs will always be toned for warm weather shorts and frocks. This is one seriously stylish master, which has its own fireplace and a full-on five-piece bath, complete with relaxing jetted tub. Sleek vessel sinks work well in this space, which feels larger thanks to the open storage underneath the vanities.

Upstairs at the very tippy top is that rooftop deck, and it has wonderful downtown Dallas views. Grujic says you can even spot the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge in the distance! So what do you think? Is this a great townhome or what?

It’s actually in the SOHIP neighborhood which has one of the lowest crime rates in Dallas. Just a few blocks south of Highland Park. The SOHIP (south of highland park) is a very close neighborhood of over 1,900 members who have socials on a number of months. Very dog friendly neighborhood with lots of people out walking in the evening. Close to Turtle Creek area.

Great property – but what “Millennial” can afford a $ 500,000 condo ?
Most of the Millennials I know – have college debt of $ 30,000 or $ 40,000 and are living at home !
