An address on Swiss Avenue has a certain cachet in Dallas, particularly if that address is located in the Swiss Avenue Historic District. The interior is graceful and comfortable, with two living areas and an updated, high-end kitchen with light-colored granite countertops and white cabinets, a large island with tons of storage, and Wolf and Sub-Zero stainless steel appliances, including a gas stove, commercial-sized refrigerator, two dishwashers, and a wine refrigerator. This home was listed Jan. 4 by Anne Lasko with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s for $917,500.

Open house: Sunday, Jan. 24, 1-3 p.m.

We love a good Tudor home, and the one at 5927 Vanderbilt Ave. in East Dallas’ Geneva Heights has a lot of the features that make them so charming: beautiful roofline, charming curb appeal, vaulted ceilings, arched doorways, stained glass features, lots of windows, and a welcoming feel. This home is a 3-2 with 1,750 square feet, built in 1934.

There are hardwoods throughout, and an updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including a gas range, tons of cabinets, and a built-in buffet with beautiful stained glass. The master is updated with a walk-in closet and ensuite bath. It was listed Jan. 18 by George Haynes with Ebby Halliday for $515,000.

The funky, spacious traditional at 9801 Winding Ridge Dr. is in located in Lake Highlands, near Audelia and Church roads. Built in 1982, this home has 3,553 square feet, four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and a powder room, with two stories, sitting on almost half an acre. The downstairs master has access to a covered patio, with a professionally landscaped and fenced yard. The interior has lots of space, and some areas feel dated, like the kitchen, but it has excellent bones, like three gas fireplaces, oak hardwood floors, and built-ins. It was listed Nov. 6 by Robin Brock with Allie Beth Allman & Assoc. for $529,000 (it just came back on the market yesterday after doing under contract).
