Tuesday Two Hundred: Tiffany Trail Midcentury Modern Has All The Details You Crave

618 Tiffany Front

I’m not sure exactly what date range qualifies a property to be a “Midcentury Modern,” but we’ll let in 618 Tiffany Trail in Richardson regardless because, come on, this home is amazing!

618 Tiffany Dining

Marketed by Ed Murchison, this modern stunner in Richardson is on the market for just $225,000! Built in 1977, this home is after the “Mad Men” era but still features details such as clerestory windows, open floor plans, huge stone columns and fireplace, and soaring ceilings. There are tons of skylights, which makes this home feel light and airy even though you can’t spot a single window from the front of the house.

618 Tiffany Living

The only real gripe I have on this home is the carpet. It looks a little dingy in some spots. I would think that the next owner would do well to put in some hardwood floors that would really show off a modern carpet. Still, even with taking that renovation into account, this home is very affordable for what you get: four bedrooms, three baths, 2,600 square feet, a great pool, and Richardson ISD schools.

618 Tiffany Kitchen

The kitchen is modern and spare, and has an a great little breakfast nook that has views of the pool (more on that, later.) I do like that the cabinets appear to have been updated with oversized drawers. There are stainless steel appliances, too. It’s roomy without feeling overly large, and blends seamlessly with the rest of the home. I see the current owner put in laminate flooring in the kitchen/breakfast area, but I really wish they’d put it throughout the living areas, too. Carpet isn’t as popular as it used to be, and buyers are looking for low-maintenance floors that won’t have to be shampooed every year.

618 Tiffany Master

What really makes this home a Midcentury Modern despite it’s age is all of the amazing atomic-era and modern furniture throughout the house. Everything is woodgrain with clean lines and spindle legs. Gorgeous.

618 Tiffany master Bath

The master bath is just so cool, with the soaking tub in the center of the room, unanchored by a wall. It sits directly under a skylight, which gives plenty of light without letting neighbors peek in. Genius!

618 Tiffany Backyard

There’s a pool in the backyard that is great for summer entertaining, too. I love the the covered porch that leads to the pool, which will be great for grilling. There’s another porch just off the master bedroom, which has a courtyard-type feel. It’s a great spot for a small bistro table and chairs or maybe even a lounge.

What do you think of this home?
