There’s an amazing remodel along the shores of White Rock Lake we’re thrilled to give you an exclusive look at. Sandy Tabacinic’s firm, Homecorp, has been working on this breathtaking project for the past three years. The 8,000 square foot property is located on the 3000 block of West Lawther Drive. It’s lake living in the heart of Dallas at its finest.

The project included extensive renovations to the property’s outdoor space. Homecorp enlarged the covered patio space in the backyard. An outdoor kitchen and outside bathroom were also added, along with a fire pit. The star feature of this outdoor remodel is the stunning pool and spa. The homeowners wanted a pool to fit with the style of the house. It’s a contemporary pool with rock features and fountains to compliment the yard. “We started with the backyard and we’ve divided it into a couple different sections. The first part of it was getting the jacuzzi and the pool ready with all the water features,” said Homecorp owner Sandy Tabacinic.

Tabacinic says about a year after completing the pool and patio space the homeowners wanted to add a guest cottage. Tabacinic says they were looking for a guest house to architecturally match the main house. The finished guest cottage is a fully functioning luxurious space with its own private amenities. “The guest house has all the features of the main house. It’s a mini version,” said Tabacinic.

The home boasts amazing lakefront views from most indoor rooms. Homecorp was also hired to select and install new front doors appropriate for a home with such a picturesque setting. “Over the passage of time, the existing doors were showing a lot of wear and tear. The main concern was the amount of heat coming from the sunlight. The homeowners’ desire was to re-create the previous look with a more energy-efficient and aesthetic approach,” said Tabacinic. The front doors were updated using a type of glass designed to prevent carpets from getting stained, floors from changing color, while lowering the heat intake of the house.

Homecorp also reconfigured the home’s gourmet kitchen. Tabacinic says while the previous kitchen design theme was aesthetically pleasing, the kitchen’s configuration was not very effective for catering and parties. “The remodel was focused on making the space work better for the homeowners’ desires regarding storage and cooking,” said Tabacinic. The new kitchen features a professional series Viking range and double ovens. The cabinets and island were also updated.

In total, Homecorp estimates the remodel of this unique lake front property at around $800,000 in updates. Homecorp is a woman-owned-and-operated firm focusing on residential remodels and new home construction in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
