Thanks to the magic of social media, we found out about this Modern Contemporary zoned for the sought-after Rosemont Elementary in Oak Cliff a week or so ago — and now we’re bringing it to your attention, too.

The builder, 419 Reinvestments, has been quietly bringing modern design with clean lines and high quality, energy efficient construction to the North Oak Cliff area since 2012. Their latest home, located at 765 Evergreen Hills Road, is the latest in that string of successes.

Designed to take advantage of all the mature trees on the lot, the home manages to feel both ensconced in nature and urban at the same time, thanks to an immense third story rooftop deck and views from the second-floor master suite.

I’ve found the perfect antidote to the stress of city living, and it’s just 30 minutes from downtown Dallas!

The lakefront property at 1 Candlelite Trail in Heath sits on the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard. On its more than 13 acres, you’ll find two fully stocked ponds, plenty of room for horses, a barn, and 5,500 fully irrigated trees of both native Texas and fruit varieties. Total paradise!

There rural amenities are complemented by the grandeur of the house, which has all the luxury of a Preston Hollow build. This is a Tuscan-style, 9,323-square-foot residence with five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, three half baths, outdoor living and dining, and a separate guest house. Think soaring ceilings and the finest finishes, luxe kitchen and room after room of well-appointed, thoughtful spaces.

I’m not the only one swooning over this Heath property — it’s been featured on two TV shows!

“It’s so private and it looks like the grounds of the Dallas Arboretum'” said Dee Evans, who has listed the property with the Dee Evans Group of Ebby Halliday Realtors. “The lakefront is unbelievable — 2,316 feet of shoreline — and there are ponds and bridges…it’s just amazing, like a total paradise away from the city.”

I couldn’t agree more. Let’s take a tour of this Heath estate!

That’s it Candy! I quit.

You keep sending this Lifestylist to shows like the International Builders Show, the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, and now the National Hardware Show.  This sounded like it would be a lot of fun, but it’s costing me a lot of money. Now all I can think about is how soon I can get an UpCart, Thermador Steam Convection oven, and pizza oven for my own home. This job has gotten expensive!

It’s been quite an adventure roaming the halls and convention floors of some of the largest shows and conferences in the country, and on a serious note, I’m honored to represent CandysDirt.com. I can’t wait to add my latest finds for the home to my Lifestylist Gift List  — here are some of my favorites that I now can’t live without.
