Walk Into the Pages of Architectural Digest in this University Park Luxury Home | CandysDirt.com

For high-end buyers, a house isn’t just about square footage and the zip code. They are buying a lifestyle with desirable amenities, fabulous location, incredible design, and a certain je ne sais quoi.

I’ve found one University Park luxury home that fits that description exactly at 4109 Colgate Ave. The moment you cross the threshold, you’ll feel like you are in the pages of Architectural Digest. It is simply stunning, from the white-on-white palette that contrast beautifully with the rich hardwoods, to the big windows that stream in natural light.

This home has five bedrooms, four full bathrooms, one half bath, three living areas, two dining areas, and 4,365 square feet on two stories, built in 2015. There’s an open house this Sunday, Nov. 19, from 2-4 p.m. Would you like a sneak peek?

Extraordinary University Park Charles Dilbeck | CandysDirt.com

One of Dallas’ most prolific and beloved architects left a legacy of exceptional design, and one of his most outstanding examples just hit the market.

The University Park Charles Dilbeck at 4144 Shenandoah St. stands as a jaw-dropping illustration of this master’s architectural genius. Sitting on a corner lot, this picturesque property offers a sense of presence and importance. Inspired by Dilbeck’s time in the Loire Valley in France, this castle-like home was designed upon his return and built in 1934. His marvelous imagination expertly crafted the enchanting spaces in this house, both thoughtful and inspired throughout its 3,393 square feet.

“This University park Charles Dilbeck has been beautifully maintained and meticulously updated in 2017 with loving attention to detail,” said listing agent Becky Frey with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty. “It offers seamless indoor-outdoor entertaining options, like a saltwater cocktail pool and covered patio, and it really is an outstanding and significant property.”

This home has three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, one half bath, two living areas, and two dining areas.

Lake Ridge Community

I’ve found a unique and exceptional luxury home in the gated Lake Ridge Community of Cedar Hill, just 15 minutes southwest of downtown Dallas. Lake Ridge is a 3,400-acre master-planned community of lots with acreage. A serene and tranquil setting suffuses the property, which sits on over an acre and backs up to the 165-acre Valley Ridge Park. It is just two blocks from the exclusive Tangle Ridge Golf Course and minutes from Joe Pool Lake and Cedar Hill State Park. Outdoor living takes on a glorious scale here.

The Mediterranean lines on the home at 1626 Pebble Beach Ln. are complemented inside by soaring ceilings and windows, a domed office, and Travertine flooring. The palatial entryway is two stories high and features a dramatic winding staircase — you’ll make an entrance here every time you arrive home!

Every detail was considered in this spacious property, with 7,225 square feet on two stories and five bedrooms, located in different wings of the house and each with its own ensuite bathroom. Privacy is ensured. But it’s also created for entertaining, with a partially open floorplan, three living areas, a formal dining room with butler’s pantry, an upstairs game room adjacent to the theater-style media room with a wet bar, workout room, and a study. There’s even a wine cellar on the first floor.

This dramatic and impressive house is listed by broker Thelma Goldman, owner of Goldman and Associates for $899,000. There’s an open house this Saturday, May 13, from 2-5 p.m. with champagne and hors d’oeuvres. Let’s take a look before someone snatches it up!

University Park is one of the top 10 most affluent neighborhoods in the country, ideally situated in DFW, and real estate there goes fast! I’ve found a timeless traditional at 3928 Amherst Ave. that just hit the market and is full of classic and elegant designer features. This property won’t last long!

Thoughtful spaces are everywhere with 4,295 square feet, four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, one half bath, two living areas, and two dining areas on two stories. I love the library with so many built-in bookshelves and media room. Built in 1996, it’s only had one owner, who’s kept this house in excellent condition.

Simply stunning. Tastefully remodeled, this home is located on aWell, this home sure made my Sunday, and I hope it makes your week! I do not know when I have seen such a wonderfully beautiful, thorough, tasteful remodel of a circa 1960’s ranch in Russwood Acres. This neighborhood of sprawling ranches and hefty yards up at Inwood and Royal is still enjoying a lot of renovations on the neighborhood stock — very few tear downs here, mostly because the homes are all built like — to quote my favorite Realtor Hunter Dehn — “brick *%&$houses”. Seriously, these homes are like the foundation at the World Trade Center, and they clean up beautifully.

We lived in a 60’s home once in our Dallas real estate life, a story I intend to blog someday! Melissa Lane: terrazzo, great storage, walk-in closets, built-ins, solid as a rock. The 60’s is when builders and architects began to “get it” and luxe up the home design.

The owners of 5122 Springmeadow Drive went all out. The 4327 square foot ranch is so brimming with newness you would think it was a complete new home the moment you walk in. The owner also used the very types of soft, sleek contemporary materials the marketplace is going ga ga over au current: pale greens and Ann Sacks tiles, wide-planked hand-scraped hardwood floors, loads of natural light, big, white insulated windows, flat screen TVs. 1809 Provine Front

This home is truly a labor of love, and it shows! This amazing Tuscan-style estate in McKinney took three years for the owner, an artist, to design and build. It has so many gorgeous and warm, intimate rooms to fall head-over-heels for, and trust me, this home is romance with a foundation and walls.

From the lush landscaping that surrounds the 4 acre lot, to the finishes and tile work, you’ll be transported to an Italian countryside with this 7,600-square-foot masterpiece. It has five bedrooms, four and a half baths, and some incredible touches you don’t often see outside of luxury resorts.

1809 Provine Courtyard

This property in Provine Farms Estates is marketed by Patton International Properties Realtor Myla Patton for $1.75 million. To me, considering some of the amenities this lovely home offers, it seems like an absolute steal! Considering the three-car garage, as well as the stocked pond, gorgeous outdoor spaces, and picturesque courtyard, 1809 Provine would be an excellent bed and breakfast. It certainly has enough visual interest throughout to be a magnet for honeymooners.

1809 Provine Living

I love the exposed and painted beams, the plaster walls, and the incredible stone work in the kitchen, which has painted cabinets and high-end stainless appliances as well as a cool stainless steel island counter top and a painted wrought iron pot rack. Most people would be put off by the many different materials and patterns on the floor in this home, but to me it just makes it feel more like an artist’s haven — a muse, or source of inspiration.

1809 Provine Kitchen

You know where you won’t lack inspiration, though? The master bedroom. This is absolute romance, with exposed beams in the ceiling, a two-sided fireplace, and amazing views of the property. In the master bath you’ll find one of the sexiest tubs I’ve ever seen. It’s a sunken tub encased in glass mosaic tile. Imagine having a soak in that gorgeous thing, right next to a fire … just incredible!

If you’re looking for resort-worthy amenities, all you have to do is go outside to the patio and outdoor kitchen, where you’ll find a pool that has both a beach entry as well as a swim-up bar and a water feature. Pure romance!

Where would you fall in love with this home?
