3700 Euclid exteriorFacebook comment on Justin & Amanda Leonard selling their Euclid home:

“When I told a local Aspenophile friend that I’d heard that Justin and Amanda had listed the house at 14 million and were moving to Colorado she said, “Great, they can buy half a house in Aspen.”

3700 Euclid exterior 1All eyes have been on this stunning listing at 3700 Euclid, because almost every agent in town knew it was (a) beautiful, (b) stunning and (c) over $10 million. In fact, it was said that this sale could thrust Highland Park real estate into a whole new realm of Silicon-Valley like pricing. IF the purported buyer, Daniel Hunt, president of FC Dallas, son of the late Lamar Hunt  his brother Clark is listed as owner of the Kansas City Chiefs, but the Hunt’s family’s sports holdings are split equally among Lamar’s four children — two from his first marriage, Lamar Jr., and Sharron, and Clark and Dan from his second — paid asking price of $14,900,000 (reduced a whole swallow from $15,995,000) or anywhere near that, we are talking $1,065.00 per square foot. Sweet.

We didn’t get that, but we got $13,600,000. Or almost $973 a square foot. How do you like that, Highland Park?3700 Euclid exterior

3700 Euclid exterior 1Oh my, I needed this. Feast your eyes on Justin and Amanda Leonard’s 14,000 square foot show home at 3700 Euclid which just hit the market March 9. Back in 2010, the power couple painstakingly constructed this masterpiece with the starchitect team of Stocker, Hoestery and Montenegro while Rusty Goff did the honors of putting it all together. The home sits on a HUGE Highland Park lot of .875 acres right at the corner of Euclid and Cowper. And it’s upping the ante for Highland Park Real Estate prices. (more…)

Though you won’t find a putting green, you will find everything else your heart could possibly want or even dream of having in this 8696 square foot Brookside Estates honey at 7048 Turtle Creek Lane. Where do I even begin? Pour a glass of wine and flip through this link: I cannot find a favorite room. I just love them all, from the formals to the media room, wine cellar, great master suite with his and her baths —-forget separate potties, hell, every man and women who live together needs to have separate potties! There is the loaded to the hilt kitchen, smooth and clean finish out and fixtures that will make you swoon. I LOVE this: underground parking for 4 cars (so you don’t swallow so much of the lot, though at almost half an acre nothing to sneeze at), geothermal HVAC, HUGE bedrooms, and a fancy-pants A/C system so complex I guarantee I can break it by looking at it! Outside-to-die-for room, too, with grilling paraphenelia and a living room feel. And get this: half the furnishings are included in the sales price. The home was custom built in 2007 on almost half an acre of primo HP dirt. So I am not shocked by the asking price, which is almost DCAD value.

Dissappointed, perhaps, because that’s a huge lotto I have to win to affford this crib, but not surprised. Where are the Leonards now? Why are they leaving this Eden?  Stay tuned!
