If you haven’t been to the Bishop Arts District lately, it’s probably because you couldn’t find a place to park, but here’s some good news if you’re not afraid to hop on a 10-speed.

You can buy the cutest little house, move in, and ride on over to the Bish, la Arts, the BAD, or whatever other nicknames you want to call arguably one of the hottest spots in all of Dallas.

Listing agent Jenni Stolarski of Compass lives in Oak Cliff herself. She knows the area and always seems to snag the best houses.

Elmwood cottage

A friend of mine is looking to buy a house in the under-$300K range in Dallas and it is proving to be incredibly difficult and frustrating. In her experience, homes in that range go under contract lightning fast and almost always for over asking price. Sometimes there’s even a cash offer as competition.

I’ve had the same realization writing this Tuesday Two Hundred column for the last few years. I’ll find a property over the weekend and by Monday, it’s got an active open contract. The prettier the place, the bigger the interest.

So I’m predicting huge activity around today’s Tuesday Two Hundred at 1603 Homewood Pl. The midcentury design elements and cute curb appeal of this Elmwood cottage will have buyers speed-dialing their Realtor for a showing. From the red brick and turquoise front door to the light-filled and renovated interior, it hits all the “must haves” and a lot of the “would be nice,” too.

This home has two bedrooms, one bathroom, and 1,236 square feet on one story, built in 1954. Let’s take a look!
