There’s a lot to love about McKinney, the Collin County seat that’s got one of the best historic downtown squares hands down. There are about 120 shops and two dozen restaurants in this commercial downtown district. The agenda here: Shop the clothing boutiques at 540 Mercantile, enjoy dinner at The Pantry Restaurant, stop for coffee at fILTER(ed) Craft Coffee House, shop antiques at Special Things, eat pie at Emporium Pies, and grab a pie (or half dozen) to go.

We found a lot to love about the homes here, but our very favorite detail is this original clawfoot tub in an early American Craftsman home built in 1890. See the home that tub belongs to and two other great homes we found for sale in McKinney.

Located in the exclusive gated community of Estates at Craig Ranch, this 2013-built home is a standout with its dramatic gated courtyard entrance that leads to the rotunda entryway and soaring ceilings. Just as dramatic is the outdoor living area with a tall elongated pergola with stone pavers, stone fireplace and lush landscaping that extends through the large grassy yard. (more…)

Oak Point, positioned on a scenic Lewisville Lake peninsula, is known for its amazing hidden gems of neighborhoods that are so nestled in the trees, you’ll feel positively secluded. The most appropriately named one is the popular Emerald Sound neighborhood, a deed-restricted development of large single-family homes nestled on the east bank of Lake Lewisville. Each homestead is an irregular one-plus acre estate consisting of Black Prarie soil and post oak timbers. But there’s another big draw for Oak Point — its impressive polo clubs including the Willow Bend Polo Club and Prestonwood Polo Club, which will build 22 exclusive two and half-acre lots for custom-built homes overlooking the polo fields. Oak Point is clearly a special place to live and here are three great homes to choose from. Which is your favorite?

Find Your Perfect Frisco Home with Ebby | CandysDirt.com

The Starwood custom home at 5608 Monterey Dr. is an example of the kind of incredible properties Ebby Halliday can help buyers find in Frisco.

One of the fastest-growing cities in the nation, Frisco is an upscale DFW suburb with about 161,000 people, growing by over 127,000 people since 2000. Why are people flocking here? In a word: opportunity.

Frisco is known for highly rated and very desired schools, great family parks, and destination dining, retail, sports, and entertainment options. As the Frisco Economic Development Corporation says, the city is also a magnet for a skilled workforce who are contributing to Frisco’s rapid annual residential growth-rate of more than five percent.

Ebby Halliday Realtor Jane Yeatman of the Yeatman Team says location and schools are a huge draw for families.

“Strategically, the Dallas North Tollway intersects Frisco and the southern border is 121, so if you’re commuting, you’re on a highway fast,” Yeatman said. “There’s also a different school concept in Frisco ISD — we’ve got nine high schools compared to a similarly sized city with three — and in a recent report, quite a few schools in the district were on a ‘best in Texas’ list.”

She also mentions the strong business culture of the city and increasing (and impressive!) changes. The $5-billion mile, for example, includes four mixed-use developments and more than $5 billion in capital investment. One famous development in it is the Cowboys world headquarters at the The Star.

Ebby Halliday has Realtors like Yeatman on the ground every day in the city and they’ve got the temperature on the market. These experts know neighborhoods and can help homebuyers find their perfect Frisco home. Let’s take a look at three houses that show off the best of the city.
