By Joanna England / July 19, 2013 /

Happy Friday! Here’s a great home to end this week on — a gorgeous, freshly restored prairie-style house within walking distance of the Bishop Arts District. Lots of great homes can be found in North Oak Cliff, a favorite neighborhood of ours. Why do we love it? Diversity of architecture, fabulous shopping, walkable and bike-friendly…

As Detroit Becomes Largest City Ever to File For Bankruptcy Protection, Economic Waves Will Crest Across The Nation

By Joanna England / July 18, 2013 /

We all knew it was coming as city and state leaders came to an impasse with Detroit’s creditors, and now the largest municipality in history has filed for bankruptcy protection. This is big news for everyone, not just Dallas, as I’m sure creditors of the more than $19 billion in municipal debt rung up by…

Ask Candy: A Reader Asks, "Whatever Happened to White Rock Crossing?"

Rogers Healy Lists Walker, Texas Ranger's Home, Finds Closets Full of Fatigues and American Flag Headbands

There used to be a street named after Chuck Norris, but it was changed because nobody crosses Chuck Norris and lives.

Chuck Norris visited the Virgin Islands. Now they’re just the Islands.
Now that we have it out of our system, let’s get down to the real facts: Rogers Healy just listed the 6512 Meadowcreek Drive, the home that served as famed roundhouse-kicking Texas Ranger Cordell Walker, for $1.2 million. With seven bathrooms and four bedrooms, I am sure it served the cast of the show starring martial arts legend Chuck Norris well.
