A Wraparound Porch in Fort Worth’s Meadowbrook That’ll Wrap You Up with It

The corner lot, the unique landscaping and the wrap-around front porch capture attention in its Meadowbrook neighborhood.

The wraparound porch at 2300 N. Edgewood Ter. in Fort Worth certainly attracts a lot of attention. It curves around the 1914 house with lots of space for rocking chairs, making it an easy place to sip some coffee, chat with friends, and enjoy life in East Fort Worth.

The front porch encourages slowing down.

“It’s a light-filled, music-filled home with historic vibes, and it’s ready for a good time,” said Realtor Sarah Lyons with Century 21 Judge Fite Co.

The porch, a perch from where the home’s unique landscaping can be enjoyed, is just where the fun begins. It continues, though, with more charm that’s evident immediately after walking through the front door. Tall ceilings, original hardwood floors, and loads of natural light add to the two-story’s timeless appeal.

Personality Plus

The main level features two living areas, and they each bring their own personality. Perfect for entertaining guests, the front living room comes with a fireplace, making it a cozy spot for fireside chats. The family room, conveniently adjacent to a half-bath, is a great spot for family movie nights or casual weekend lounging.

The updated kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances, a pantry and stylish open shelving, flows into the dining room. The dining room, ready for dinner parties, is Lyons favorite room in the house, because of all the original built-ins that remain in this 1914-vintage traditional.

“The character is all there,” she said.

Creative Adaptations

Clothes horses will love the creative adaptation on the home’s main level. The two first‑floor bedrooms sit side by side, and one entire bedroom has been transformed into the dream closet for anyone who demands more than normal storage. It connects directly to a remodeled full bath, creating a glamorous suite that is much more a perk of living in 2026.

The house’s updates include updated bathrooms.

The house, measuring 3,104 square feet, contains five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It sits in the middle of its corner lot that measures more than half an acre. The lot size accommodates backyard gathering spaces and a three-car garage.

Fort Worth’s Meadowbrook district, sitting on the city’s east side, features rolling hills, leafy trees, and established neighborhoods. Lyons compares its historic charm and shaded streets to Fort Worth’s immensely popular Fairmount, but with a more affordable price tag. Meadowbrook is one of Fort Worth’s more affordable spots, seemingly ready for the next wave of revitalization.

“This is a great alternative to Fairmount,” she said. “You’d save $100,000 in this neighborhood, especially with that lot size.”

Gathering Space

The Meadowbrook house on Edgewood Terrace is listed at $480,000 and is ready for its next owner. Lyons thinks the buyer will be someone who enjoys hosting friends and family.

“It’s a home meant for entertaining and bringing people together, whether it be in the living room, the historic dining room or in the backyard under mature trees,” she said.

Lol well you could call it a half wrap. It does wrap part of one side.
