Share News:

A recent Realtor.com report found that the 75205 zip code (which is Park Cities, including parts of University Park and Highland Park) is the most expensive zip code in the entire state of Texas. With a median list price of $1,623,790, some of the most expensive homes on the market right now are in this zip code. But that doesn’t mean you can’t get into this zip code for under a million. It’s true! These three picks for CandysDirt.com Open Houses of the Week prove there’s still room in the market for the million and under homeowner.

Townhouse Living That Feels Like Town & Country

Open house: Sunday, March 10, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

This is a warm and rich-feeling two bedroom, two-and-half bath townhome at 3418 McFarlin Blvd., Apt C. (P.S., Apt D is also on the market) is located just a block from SMU and walking distance from Snider Plaza. It’s listed for $539,900 by Kelli Macatee with Allie Beth Allman and Associates. This 2003-built condo has spacious rooms, hardwood floors, great storage space, and a private fenced patio large enough for pets. Plus, a two-car attached garage with additional storage, which makes this an attractive property for downsizers.

Love Life on the Katy Trail

Open house: Sunday, March 10, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

If you find yourself on the Katy Trail every weekend, why don’t you live there? This two bedroom, two-and-half bath townhome at 4419 Buena Vista Street, Apt. 9 is a rare corner unit that’s nicely sized at 2,179 square feet. It’s listed for $569,000 by Beca Cusick with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International. It features Somfy electric shades, Lutron lighting, a two-car garage, and a giant balcony overlooking the trail. To access the trail, just step into your fenced patio yard and open your private gate to step right out to the trail.

4 Bedroom Home in University Park for Under a Million

Open house: Sunday, March 10, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Here’s a 1940-built brick traditional home at 4333 Druid Lane with 2,127-square-feet, four bedrooms, and two baths. It’s listed for $895,000 by Teffy Jacobs of Allie Beth Allman and Associates. Jacobs tells us this charming home just went on the market the other day, and the family homeowners weren’t quite ready for interior shots. But judging from the description, it sounds great: granite, marble, limestone, and subway tile finishes throughout, including a white marble bath in the master suite and a granite surrounded fireplace.
